The step-through allowance is so stupid. The first step in picking up a dribble doesn't count, then two more steps are allowed without dribbling, and in the end you can still pivot and literally stride towards the basket? The whole point is to watch players using their dribbling skills to maneuver into the defense, not watch them take long strides without dribbling.
