I know Luka took it like a Mike Tyson punch in the stomach (of course, for many reasons), but being traded to the Lakers is going to be the BEST for his career and legacy.
– He gets a reality check. If he has an inch of pride (he does, we have seen him play) he finally takes his conditioning and body seriously.
– He has LeBron to mentor him in that regard and many other matters. I really think it will be good for him and his development as a player and person, to have someone in the team that challenges his greatness. Similar to what happened to Brunson when he played with Luka.
-Lakers are a much bigger sport brand than Mavericks, not only in America but worldwide. If he wants and takes it seriously, he is going to be the face of the NBA
-Lakers will be able to put the best team possible around Luka and Dallas failed for many years… Remember he took them to the WCF with Dwight Powell as C
