STOP PRETENDING THIS WASN'T THE ADELSONS that initiated this and were determined to make this happen. They are known greedy global gangsterss who support shameless authoritarians on the PLANET. As a Lakers fan, I still can't believe it. I mean, it's shocking to me and I keep reading news articles to make sure I am not missing anything.
I do feel bad for the fans, they are some of the best out there. I truly feel awful for them. This is an insane trade. Makes zero sense.
I don't feel bad for Cuban because I know how much he hates the Lakers and has went on record to cheer when bad things happen to LA. He's been a jerk to our team and made fun of us during the tough years which is rare to see owners behave that way. So this, in a way, is a little jab back at him.
But for sure, I feel awful for you fans. This is as big of a blunder as you can make. And what makes it worse is that AD is already out for 1-2 months.
I'm looking forward to seeing Luka lead our team for at least the next decade. I still can't believe what I'm writing. I'm floored that he fell onto our lap like that.
Conspiracy theory I heard was the owner is trying to tank the team so in a few years he can relocate to vegas. At this point… maybe.

There have been videos on YouTube about how the Lakers were trying to finagle a Luka trade for months. To pretend LeBron and his agent, or really any of the other principals except for maybe Luka, were shocked when the deal was actually done is incomprehensible.

Right or wrong, they did not want a Charles Barkley or Joel Embid situation for their stock holders. I get it. Not judging the move, but I get it. Luka was an unacceptable risk. P.S. Chris Pratt is 100% the choice for Luka. It's literally right there. The coloring, the ability to be doughy but sort of athletic looking.

Funniest part was Nico in his press conference thanking and crediting Rob Pelinka for keeping the trade on the DL, as if it was some charitable sacrifice to NOT alert the league that Luka was available. 😂

Great takes all around. First time in my life fans are totally justified for jumping teams. Lakers deserve it because Pelinka pulled the ultimate rabbit out of a hat. (Just when we thought they were cooked) also, the fat guy/bad work ethic narrative leaking from Mavs leadership makes me question their true intentions for the future. Everyone knows you don’t burn stars. Why talk shit about great players if you’re trying to recruit more great players?? It’s not a strategy savvy GMs would ever deploy. If you made the smartest move, why justify your actions? Do they secretly want to tank this team? Super suspicious.
The only way this will ever workout, heal the Mavs pain is for Luka to literally be a bigger man not in terms of forgiveness but to Zion up with 50 lbs of belly fat, develop chronic ankles, back and shoulder issues. A 300 lbs unrecognizable Luka dumpster diving is the best scenario for redemption for Rico.

It's like the GM doesn't know, its the fans that makes the NBA. AD Mavs jerseys will not sell, especially in Europe. And fans come to see the super stars. There are only like 5 or 6 super stars and Doncic was one.
