Matt trying to say he's not sure Zeke's minutes would be better next to Jokic than Dario is kinda wild. Maybe they would be – because he's offensively skilled and smart, but I think the fit with Zeke at the 4 is a lot better to protect Jokic on the defensive end.
Murray was amazing. I promise not to complain about him for at least a week! Nice streak without 4 of their rotation players.
The last stretch is going to be brutal. The Nuggets have the 2nd most difficult schedule post all-stars, and it's very tight behind them in the standings. The balance between not warring themselves out and not slipping too much in the standings will be key

I’m sorry the take that nuggets fans should be ok with Jokic not winning the mvp this year especially is ludicrous. Jokic has sat out a total of 14 fourth quarters meanwhile I watch shai up 25-30 still playing to get his 50 point game. If Jokic played all those quarters he’s most likely 1 in ppg 1 in assists and 1 in rebounds. We see players like shai every few years score a lot but also near the top in free throw attempts look at Embiid a few years back. Shai is currently second in free throw attempts a game Jokic isn’t even in top ten. The defensive argument is way closer than people want to admit shai is a 104.5 defensive rating as a player Jokic is a 109 the highest on the nuggets btw which the thunder have 6 players above that mark. Having other great defenders around you is going to make your defense look better also. Jokic already got robbed once and now that he’s having arguably the greatest offensive season ever don’t rob him again
That nnaji Saric take is insane. Saric played with jokic tonight and he looked bad. He cannot do anything offensively. Its actually embarrassing.
Murray always played best against bad teams, why he did not score against Minnesota, Boston or OKC at least 40 points, it is very easy to break record against tanking teams.

Happy Zeke got a chance to start, need another rebound or two from him, but happy he got out of the doghouse. Zeke can play with Jokic and is learning to be a great help side defender along with starting to understand the Dunker role(Zeke can play AGs role with more experience at the 4), Dario cannot he is just limited like Jokic. Lets not confuse the two because I actually think Dario played ok when Jokic was out for his 2nd kids birth. Dario had a double double in one of those games, and if we shot better may have had a run at a triple double because he was being creative passing in those games too.
Clingan is a monster at 20, Portland found their Center for a decade plus if Scoot can become a star. Huge fan of that kid already, Jokic also seemed to enjoy playing someone who has the speed/size combo to make his night difficult.

History tells you need to be a top 3 seed to win a title. Period. The only 4 seed to win was the '69 Celtics with Bill Russell! The only 6 seed to win was Hakeem's Rockets 30 years ago! No 5, 7 or 8 seed ever won. And the key to a top 3 seed is depth. So, the development of the bench is critical so that they don't have to play injured starters just to get a win against Charlotte on a Tuesday night. Malone tried to only play the starters last year and they were injured and exhausted heading into the playoffs. This year despite the injuries he's gotten useful play out of Zeke, Jalen, Julian Strawther and Peyton Watson. The problem will be the playoffs. Secure the 3 seed, avoid OKC until the Conference Finals and they might have a chance. Go up against the Thunder in the second round and it could be an early exit once again.

“F-em all” Joker and Jamal are my favorite iterations of them and who i want to see the most in the postseason, but as long as they are both healthy and the team still progresses towards being up for the postseason battles, then anything else is gravy to me.
