Idk how you could watch him play and say “he doesn’t play winning basketball.” He efficiently scores, he sets his teammates up to score, he isn’t as bad on D as someone like Luka, etc. shit the last game we won is cause he made an incredible play to draw the defenders then dished it out to a wide open teammate to hit a game winning 3. If you think Ball is the reason the hornets arnt a winning team then you don’t watch their games

It’s the Kobe curse for Charlotte . Since that trade they are just doomed . Twice they’ve had the worst record in the league and missed out on generational players …. AD and Wemby . When they do hit in the draft ie Lamelo or Miller they can’t stay healthy . Franchise is cursed .
Lamelo can only play winning basketball with a dominant big and an elite 3 and D wing.
This is the problem with being an organization with a losing record for too long. People overlook the culture that gets developed – bad habits on & off the floor, don't know how to win or what it takes to win, and then by the time you're theoretically ready to take the next step your brain is wired the wrong way.

This is why I always say the Hornets haven't given anyone a reason to pay attention to them and it always shows when people start talking about the team. Lamelo starts his second year in the league and plays 75 games as a starter. Leads the team in steals, assists, 3rd in rebounding, second in points. It's clear he's one of the top players on the team and the Hornets go 43-39 which is the only winning season we've had since 15-16. Since then the Hornets have been riddled with nothing but injuries and players doing stuff to keep them off the floor. Lamelo has already shown he can win with a bad franchise but y'all don't care to pay attention because of where he is lol. Now if we want to talk about his ability to stay healthy that's another thing, but the Hornets only have like 3 winnings seasons out of 12 and one is when Lamelo played 75 games…….

teague this a bad take. 1. ja morant is on the grizzlies a way more successful and smarter franchise when it came to building teams. the hornets are an awful team , they fumbled kemba walkers career. hornets have made no significant moves around melo since drafting him. and hes had many injuries
