  1. It’s tough argue with championships especially when there’s two of them but I really do believe that the Warriors would’ve somehow ended.

There can’t be two guards that play as differently as Curry and Butler play.

Butler can dominate a game without touching the ball and that an incredible skill. Of course we’re going to have to see TWolves Butler on then offensive end Draymond, at his best is a very good playmaker and he does a lot of little things that can help guys, especially Steph, open. Unfortunately you can’t afford two Draymond’s on the floor unless your other 3 players are Michael Jordan, Steph and Ray Allen.

Butler and Draymond force one of the most fearsome defensive duos in the NBA now. They both can guard any position on the floor. This term is used loosely often but these two can.

That will alleviate a lot of stress off of Steph’s shoulders and let him focus on simply scoring. Jimmy can get his and when he’s running the 2nd unit while Curry is on the bench.

There’s a few guys that will be really key to how far Golden State can go:

    1. Buddy Hield: I thought he was a great signing. Hield has made the 2nd most triples in the NBA the last decade. I thought assuming Klay’s role and getting his looks would be seamless. It hasn’t been. After a white hot start to the season Hield has fizzled off. He’s still shooting 37% from deep launching 7 a game but not nearly at the rare. It’s between him and Moody as far as who the second best 3 point shooting wing is and that will determine who’s getting minutes in playoff/playin game(s).

    2. Jonathan Kuminga: Hopefully Kuminga is ready for the final 2 weeks of the regular season. A lineup of Curry-Moody/Hield-Butler-Kuminga-Draymond has the potential to be absolutely suffocating. While his role on defense will become a little bit easier, what’s expected of him on the other end of the court will prove whether he’s going to take that next step on not. Kuminga will have to shoot more 3s and although everyone knows he’s not going to be Steph from deep, that number will need to be around 37% from deep. But playing alongside Butler will help JK so much and if he’s open to listening and putting in the hard work Jimmy will help him develop into an All NBA 1st team defensive player who gets between 22-25 points a game efficiently getting to the line at will.

    3. Moses Moody: Whether it’s off the bench with the second unit or in the starting lineup and in crunch time because Kerr simply cannot stomach Buddy Hield’s constant lapses, this going to be a huge opportunity for Moody. It’s either going to be him or Hield getting the primary backcourt minutes and while yes, defense certainly can’t hurt Moody’s chances of winning the job, it will come down to whoever can knock down the 3 ball consistently since the Dubs lost Wiggins (not great but had turned into a Bruce Bowen type on the corner 3) and Butler doesn’t shoot 3s.

I really like this Warriors team and unless one of their big 2 and a half have a major injury setback in the next 15 months they’ll be a contender. But with the hole they’ve dug for themselves it won’t be easy.

Houston is already free falling since the loss of Jabari Smith (people kept talking about him being a bust but he has the ability to be a 23-10 guy who shoots over 40% from the field it’s just the Rockets stupidity that they’ve turned him into a 3 & D role player. A smart GM should definitely go after him this summer). I could see falling all the way into the playin. The Warriors though would still have to jump the Rockets, Mavs, Wolves and Kings to get the 6 seed where right now they’d get the Grizzlies but the way the Nuggets are playing they should get the 2 seed.

Memphis is honestly the Warriors best option rather than the likes of OKC, the Lakers, the Clippers, the Wolves and maybe even a Mavs team if Davis and Irving are healthy. Huge ifs, especially on the former. Will be a strong finish to the regular season.

  2. LeBron James is still flying high at 40, but does he have enough left in the tank to carry the Lakers to another championship? Or is his era officially over, with the NBA now belonging to the young superstars?

  3. Really interested to see how Kuminga could fit in a lineup with Steph, Dray and Jimmy. JK’s defense would fit in perfectly but we’d definitely need him to be consistent from 3 for spacing

  4. Warriors fans drinking the kool aid post Butler deal when most smart fans didn’t want Butler. The idea that Butler replacing Wiggins turns this team from play-in to contender is mass delusion.

  5. The Dallas game officiating was horrendous. I'm still not over it. Anyone saying the NBA is rigged, I cannot blame them after that game.

  6. I LOVE THE FACT that Steven A B*%CH has to eat his words about Jimmy not doing himself any favors and not being professional with the Miami situation. I don't even disagree that it was a bad look, I just don't like Steven A because he's so wrong on so many other things. And he's B*%chmade

  7. Kept Houston from scoring 100 points. Difference between today and previous gsw-hou games is that we stop them from dominating us in the paint. Well done, warriors.

  8. This is the first time Jimmy is playing well outside of playoffs. Jimmy playoffs is now Jimmy regular season?

  9. Fluke fake win. The Rockets let them shoot and make shots. Not happening again. Warriors got let off easy this time. Next time and the times after that that ain’t happening again guaranteed.
