Definitely still issues! Struggling against the Wiz was hard to watch!
Unless Haliburton starts asserting himself alot more…the rest of the year will look like this!!! He just goes out of his way to avoid contact!
Mathurin is in a lose-lose situation…
Either he plays super well off the bench (most likely trying to get his starter role back) and they say "wow you're so good on the bench! STAY THERE FOREVER" or he plays poorly and they decrease his minutes and importance.
Idk many other teams that look at a young, high draft pick player, playing amazing on the bench & decide he should never be a starter. That's a wildly disrespectful course to take. If I was benn, I'd be downright sick to my stomach and fed up. Getting replaced by a guy who is worse than you because Haliburton needs worse players around him so he can take more shots, is a weak mindset. And that's not even mentioning that Hali has been playing well below his expectations
Mathurin is The Best Player on The team I just hope They don't lose Him because teams like LA, Miami, and Brooklyn wants Him Bad They know He's a Star Rick Carlisle Politics is going to blow this Opportunity hopefully Pritchard and Buchanan don't let that happen
As the senior member of the family Cook (no, Jimmy isn't a relative), I insist that the best rotation does not always start the five best players.
The trip to Paris followed by a west coast swing drained the energy on this team. I mean Siakam was shooting turnaround jump shots off the lower part of the backboard which to me meant he had no legs. I think they'll recover back to where they were before the Paris trip after the All Star break.
Ben will leave and I won't blame him. You build the offense (around) your stars you don't say oh Hali and Siakam needs shots first like cmon bro. Let Ben cook…call plays for him

Paris trip effect is real on the body, and I'm sticking to it..
Rick will cost Mathurin likely, millions of dollars. If Mathruin went to a bad team, he would be averaging 25ppg the past couple seasons but he's like a 5th option here in Indy.
