He is getting these defensive number on the floor without Ad,lively and then gaff and pj the last few games. Pretty impressive the small ball lineup was.
Your stats are misapplied. Rather that comparing individual stats to league averages, compare individual stats to other similar players. For example, if you're comparing a starter, compare them to other starters. If you're comparing a 6th man, compare them by the number of minutes, etc.
As a Laker fan who watches every game, i cant tell you he definitely wasn't held back? .. it's called playing with 2 hall of famers – Lebron and AD! In LA he was playing very well in his role! We loved Max! Right now he's playing on a team where he will get a lot more touches and has more of a green light with AD out! – but best believe he was playing VERY WELL before he was traded! Max will be great in Dallas! We will miss him.

nah its not a secret for the Lakers fans, and his talent is obvious just by looking at his past games especially as a laker starter, if AD didnt get injured Mavs definitely would have won the trade
the 100+ games he played with bad stats was under Darvin Ham when he's barely given Christie some minutes because his favorites are Prince and Reddish
Max Christie probably was also the reason why they got "less" than what people think they should have gotten for Luka

He was a STARTER for the L.A lakers, he's not a hidden gem, this year under JJ he has been thriving. He has more opportunities to score on mavs but he was playing insanely well on lakers also.

luka n bron the same they dont allow the rest of the team flourish if not thru them. im happy the mavs have a more open flow. thats why those great so called role players play better when they leave teams w players like that.

Si. Max christie is the face of the mavs franchise for the future. They traded luka cuz they want max that can defend and play offense? Hmmmm. This might be the reason why they didnt take luka over max. AD was just a big piece to solidify the lineup. But they want max with the characteristics that they have been saying while bashing luka.
