Dante could have been and should have been a star, injuries really derailed his career. He still seems to get injured half the year but he’s a big guard with unusual talent. That’s why he was a lottery pick. Now he’s a three level scorer who can defend all 5 positions and run the offense.
Common this guy already played in Eurolegue he will have a game like this once in 3 months and nothing more. He wont be anything close to star.

He’s a nice player but does he give a consistent effort every night? He’ll give you 27 one game and 5 points the next. 2 or 3 boards, maybe a steal. The NBA is full of Dante Exum’s.
With Luka now a Laker, Dante Exum is the best pure pg for the Mavs. Kyrie and Dinwiddie are both small guatds.
so without luka, exum prominence would shine more. And maybe we will got more dynamic duo of kyrie and exum

the good thing about this new mavs lineup after the trade was the ball movement and fast phasing plays. not focusing on iso plays, no more selfish plays, just pure team basketball. they just need to be healthy

Hey guys! I am trying to find unsigned centers that could help the Mavs over the next month. But when I search this, the results are for end of the season free agents, or from a month ago for trades. What centers are available right now that could at least give us a 7 ft body for a few weeks? Even Dwight Powell would be nice, but he is already here. I guess he is hurt?

For those that don't know. This was not a non-contact injury. AD was tackled late in the 2nd quarter. On the same play PJ got slapped by Thompson by accident. Seguin tackles AD literally dirty like. But nobody noticed apparently but me. Because AD didn't cry about it. But he took a while to get up. Only actually getting up after Kyrie picked him up from the back. He re aggravated something on that particular play. I knew it. you can tell if you find. the original clip of PJ getting slapped. He tried to play through it which was a mistake. But that tells you a lot of the kinda player AD is. He didn't complain to the refs. And he kept trying to play. But he did have words with seguin himself. When they were in position on the nect free throw attempts. And Seguin seems to say he didn't mean too. But you can tell when it happened Seguin was getting frustrated with AD's ability to out rebound him with ease.
If you look up "mavs fan makes funny stare down stance." you'll see PJ and Amen wrestling for the ball. And AD just sitting there. This is right after he gets tackled. Noticed how he's just sitting there. He re-aggrevated something right then. That happened late in the 2nd.
Exum is actually an amazing overall point guard. While I don't think anything he does is elite, i agree that he has no weakness. He can pretty much do everything. He can defend, he can score, and he can pass and playmake. He also knows how to play off the ball with superstars, so he literally could be the perfect role player. It just sucks that he isn't always healthy

Exum disappeared in the playoffs last year completely. One game does not make a "monster" get real. Mavs are dead and no one cares. No Luka = No Chance
If Luka isn’t back into his normal form in the next 3 years, then we will talk about next man up, but until then, I’m still pissed.
