Jayson Tatum Shouldn’t Be This Good

Jayson Tatum keeps getting overlooked in the MVP race, but over the last three games, he’s been playing at that exact level—carrying the Celtics to big wins while averaging 35 points, 8.3 rebounds and 8.3 assists on 48% shooting. But what’s even scarier? Boston has a late-game strategy that completely flips the script, and if the NBA doesn’t catch on soon… they’re going back-to-back. Let’s break it down.

  1. Oldhead I talked to at a job compared him to Grant Hill if he never got hurt.. I’ve always thought that was an interesting comparison as well

  2. You can't expect a team not to be tired if they're always in the ECF or the finals for half a decade. They'll be alright.

  3. Tatum is amazingly durable (knock on wood). When "load management" is spreading like wildfire through the NBA Tatum has been playing 75 plus games per regular season and going to the playoff all of the seasons of his carrier so far.

And he is still getting better. The Americans already have their future superstar and face of the league. They just don't care to have him for some fucked up reason.

  4. Once he gets multiple rings, hopefully he gets the respect he already deserves. He could be one of best Celtics of all time when his career is over

  5. JT been in the league for a while. He’s a mature vet.. and the best thing is that deuce is watching his every move so he carrying himself like a king

  6. the team was in a 2 month slump but picked it up. they really need a break and they got a break. after the all star break, I’m telling y’all, they’ll go even crazier. proving to everyone who runs the league

  7. The Celtics are gonna have to make a decision. Tatum is playing at another level with guys out. He needs to have the ball at all times and be the fulcrum of the offense. He doesn’t play like this at full strength of the team. It’s almost like he holds back to get other teammates involved

  8. Biased but I don't see anyone beating them in 7 if healthy. OKC obviously the best contender. They've struggled with Denver as well but again in 7, I don't see it.

  9. The fact that the Celtics rarely get really injured is something major. JT and JB is insanely durable and know how to play without hurting themselves

The whole cast as well. Only one who’s injury prone is KP

  10. Yk there’s a reason why ant doesn’t pass in the clutch. Because he’s playing with the worst shooting lineups we have available. So he literally has to take those shots because he’s the only one who can consistently make them. Again. It may look like ball hogging but it’s what’s required of him. I’ll tell you rn. If Jaden McDaniels is wide open and ant has the option of taking a step back 3 or passing it to Jaden. I’ll tell you rn ant has the higher chance of making the shot. Hell this last 10 or so games ants guys around him have been hot from 3 and ants been dishing it consistently. When his guys are making shots he’ll pass. But like Jordan and Kobe why the hell would he pass it to guys who go 1/7 every other game. Tatum has the luxury of having consistency around him. This is why context matters. Watch the games. Don’t look at the stats. Ant is fine. The twolves will be fine when we dumb Randle as planned. And the knicks are finding out exactly why we got rid of Kat every time they play the Celtics

  11. When Tatum's career is all said and done…

His numbers combined with most likely multiple championships will start to accumulate FAST over the next 3/4 seasons

If he wins at least 2 of the next 4 championships hes going to start to get put in categories of all time top 10-15 area

Tatum has, while i admit a very minimal chance, a chance to be a top 10 player ever
