BI is going to play in games against tough opponents (rather than the weak ones as Es suggested) because that way he can get a proper run with the team when they're trying to win (or keep it close to Chuck bricks at the end) … because the goal is still to tank. Def don't need or want him to play against bottom feeders
People dont undeedtand how GREAT of a 3 level scorer brandon is. New orleans wanted him so often to generate EVERYTHING on offense. In the games he played THIS year he was among the top 5 most double teamed players and was 2nd in the whole league in off ball gravity. What im getting at , is if hes allowed to go out , and be aggressive in just getting buckets and playmake/create along the way , your gonna get an all star. 100% raptors fans will see. Hey guys, another great show. We appreciate you! Just a couple quick thoughts. 1)do you really think RJ is the odd man out? He’s Canadian, and not just any Canadian. He’s been THE GUY on a Canadian national team that was very good, albeit as a teenager. His dad was/is Mr. Canada. He played in New York and had a seemingly bad experience vs a good experience in Toronto. Do we really think he’s not up to stay for a discount? If so is there anyone who would (that would be sad). 2) totally agree that I prefer competitive team building. I’m not a fan AT ALL of tanking, it’s insanely difficult to watch for very long. I feel like so many tanking fans also bag on a guy like RJ for example saying he’s bad defensively, you think? I think on a team that everyone understands has very little to win for that things slip, we all do it. It’s also impossible to have a 5 man lineup of ALL DEFENSE players, there’s always a guy who’s underrated defensively because other guys do the heavy lifting. As a lifelong player, a coach, official and just a junkie/gym rat, it’s a team game and the best player on the floor can’t be that on a winning team if there isn’t connection to the rest of the unit? I think the current roster should be free to go next season (including re-signing Boucher to a 3.5-7 mill a year 2 year deal) and we need a back up Center, however you get one matters little. Thoughts?
Parting though, what about Santi Aldama as a bench Pf to trade boucher for next deadline?

So I'm okay with the trade for BI, and paying 40M on average for him. What I don't understand is how his side had the leverage to get the player option since almost no one has major cap space this upcoming summer
No offense to the other guys but I watch these videos strictly for Samson's takes. Casuals slander RJ which is always surprising to me seeing he's a hometown talent, but Samson is one of the few podcasters that vouch for RJ. He also saw BI trade as a great trade from the moment it happened when half the podcasters' initial reaction was negative. Just level headed analysis as always.

I think this team is now legitimately good. Still tanking season, but we just need to stay in bottom 4 of the east and prepare for next year

I think IQ is oddman out. Slow and low jumpshot and no defense is tough for 32.5
