Mavs will not make the Finals let alone win it. They better pray they don't face Luka in the playoffs too.
By the way, Gafford is better than Lively. He just isn't as fancy, but I would take Gafford in a second and I hope he goes to the Lakers somehow in the off season.
isn't it obvious??? if Dallas fails this season. kyrie will not be signed or get traded. Dallas will reset. a franchise so long as the owners have deep pockets can always reset and rebuild short term or long term. majority of people/fans mostly thinks that the owners pockets are just like theirs lol. and btw owners didn't like doncic that's it. So they traded him. this should be a no brainer by now. for the record i hate that they traded luka but there is this "something" that maybe when the dust settles… Dallas will be the more successful team and will come up having the edge in the future. if front office made a trade as big as luka they can def make another. bottom line there"s two things to look forward to. what will happen this season if we at least get 50% if the injured players to play…????? and what moves are we going to do next season????? I look forward to that because luka aint coming back.

Well its a clear cut case. We need someone like Luka. So lets try to find a guy like him for nothing, can’t be that hard – right?
To get KD, they will have to trade Gafford, Washington and probably Thompson or Marshall. I hate to tell you folks — but Gafford and Washington are crucial to the MAVS. Then, there is a chance Kyrie will go. You might end up with a team of KD and Davis and that really is it.
I still can’t believe they traded him. It’s not just that every franchise is looking for a potential franchise player, is that we had a potential top 10 player in history kind of franchise player. It’s surreal.
They knew AD was going to be done for the season. Lakers got rid of him then he came out for show knowing he needed season ending surgery. All went to plan.
Mavs should just tank then somehow end up with the first pick and get maybe cooper flag…im gunna stop hurting myself.

Luka looks hungover everytime y'all see him. But he deserved a statue? Im so happy he's gone. I.csn actually enjoy a traditional basketball game. Without trickshots and other bs. That covers up hardwork. I can't stand when he practices trick shots. When he can't even hit his free throws down the stretch.
Other thing to think about is we are in win now for 3 years and we are likely not going to win this one because of injuries. We come back next year with most of our important players being more into their 30s and hope for better injury luck.

Interesting that you say Klay isn’t part of the core because of age but then expect to get a player that’s older than him in KD. Since Klay has returned from injury he’s played more games than KD. How would the team build solid depth around AD/Kyrie/KD knowing they will all miss time each season? You’re basically turning DAL into the new PHX. A top heavy team that lacks depth to get them through the regular season and beyond.

If Klay is not part of the core, then why would Dallas try to get him. To call him expendable?? A 4 time championship winner, and one of the best shooters in his time? I swear the Dallas fan base doesn’t deserve him, and I really really wish he would have chosen the lakers. Y’all have no idea how valuable it will be to have him come post season, someone who’s been in more postseason games than anyone on that team, and knows what it takes to win! I think this conversation is putting the cart before the horse. Players are normally traded around the time of contract renewal. Before looking at other teams you have to look at your own. You can’t say AD and Kyrie are your core when Kyrie has a player option this summer. He can decide to opt in and only commit this one year. He can waive and asks for sign and trade or he can extend. He’s a wild card. You just never know
You also have PJ and Gatf up for extension. With their contracts expiring they aren’t as valuable.
Then let’s say you do get Kyrie under a controllable contract. How much are your own team’s picks worth?

Kyrie will leave as soon as he can for a contending team. Nico will give him away for basically nothing. But by 2027 the team will be moved to Las Vegas because the Texas legislature will not pass a law allowing casino gambling in 2026. Nico is under orders to make sure the Mavericks are not contenders so they can be moved. The Dallas fans are not any part of the future considerations by the Adelson Dumont owners. They are only wanting to build a resort casino stadium complex either in Dallas or in Las Vegas. The basketball team is just an attraction to bring people into the resort and the casino. So, the team's success is what the fans want but is not what the owners want. If Luka were to win a championship in the next two years as a Maverick, the team could not be moved out of Dallas. The owners are very successful casino operators and do not care at all about basketball. They bought the team to make more money.
This episode actually gave me some hope. I wish the Mavs well this season, but I'm checked out of watching games. That said, building something with Lively, Max, a great pick in the next couple years, and we're back. Really hoping DLive isn't such a liability going forward because having that C locked down is awesome. I don't see building around Kai, KD, and AD… they just don't have much left in them I'm afraid.

You guys really need to be quiet with this. I love this show, but it's getting old. Mavericks are just fine, and so is their future. And Max is a future star who makes up for Luka bc of his d. This team is stacked for the next 5 years. No one in the NBA looks into 10 years. Luka could be injured by then you dont know what could happen. Have to stop watching this show for awhile
