with all due respect, all star game is shit! just to show all players league, the game is boring and boring. No one has shown any desire, playing in the street is more fun than watching this shit!!! all star game has to end, with all respect, no one plays with desire or intensity, just to appear on TV
These so called ALLSTARS just needs to play serious, stop all the chitchat nonsense of changing any format or bringing back the old ones. Nothing is fixing these unless the players are commited to give the audience a real game.
The NBA All-Star Experience: A Proposal for Improvement
The recent NBA All-Star event has been widely criticized as one of the least engaging in recent memory. To revitalize the excitement and significance of this annual showcase, I propose the following changes:
Consolidated Schedule: Host the entire NBA All-Star festivities within a single day (Sunday) or, at the very least, combine the NBA Rookies versus NBA G Leaguers game, Skills Challenge, and 3-Point Shootout on Saturday. Reserve Sunday for the Dunk Contest and the All-Star game.
Incentives for the NBA Rookies vs. NBA G League All-Stars Matchup:
If the NBA Rookies win, they receive increased cash rewards, and the MVP from the NBA Rookies squad gains a higher ranking for the "Rookie of the Year" award.
If the NBA G League players win, they should be signed to their respective NBA affiliates. For those on a "two-way contract," they should receive legitimate NBA contracts and become part of the rotation.
Revamping the NBA Skills Challenge: Return to the format from previous years, when players like Dwyane Wade and Deron Williams participated with seriousness and competitiveness. The competition should be for the fastest and most skilled top players. The winner should have the opportunity to choose a charity recipient for the prize.
Enhancing the NBA 3-Point Shootout: Feature the top 12 most consistent shooters from the past three years. The competition should take place on both sides of the court with six players on each side simultaneously. The winner should choose a charity recipient for the prize.
Reimagining the NBA Dunk Contest: Include top NBA dunkers, NBA G Leaguers, and professional dunkers in the competition. The winner receives a cash prize, with professional dunkers and NBA G Leaguers retaining their winnings. If an NBA player wins, the prize should be donated to their chosen charity.
Restoring the East vs. West Format: Reinstate the traditional East vs. West format for the All-Star game. Players should wear their respective NBA team jerseys, but in an All-Star edition. Both teams must play mandatory defense, exert 100% effort, and utilize proper set plays to ensure a competitive and entertaining game, rather than a casual exhibition.
Incentives for the Winning Team: Each player from the winning team will contribute one win to their respective NBA team's record, potentially boosting their chances to enter the NBA playoffs or play-in tournament. The All-Star Game MVP will receive an additional ranking spot for the NBA MVP award. The winning team will also have the opportunity to choose a charity recipient.
By implementing these changes, the NBA All-Star event can recapture its prestige and excitement, providing fans with a more engaging and meaningful experience.
All star games sucked again. The modern era is nothing like the Jordan era. Most basketball players today are not true all star, that why the commissioner pair up basketball players that were up-and-coming with veteran players, which veteran players is the proper definition.
I didn't think it could be done. They managed to make it worse…What in the…this was terrible. Worst All-Star Weekend in the history of the NBA. I've been watching for 30 years and it has never been so bad.
That was the worst NBA all star game Iβve watched. You can tell half those players donβt even like the guys from Inside the NBA. That was a snoozefest.

Dear NBA. All star game suggestion. NBA all stars vs an Euroleague team (or EuroLeague all stars or EuroLeague champs). Thank me later.
you want a good all star game East vs West? The winner brings back a +1 win to their team standing.
I think its time to wrap it up on this whole all star thing

LeBron being a diva by not playing because Inside the NBA buried his son. Classic diva move.
I didn't find one good comment below and everyone is right. It's getting worst every year.

Are you tone deaf or do we need to boycott games?
