Trae Young Leads the NBA in Assists at the All-Star Break

With the NBA All-Star weekend upon us, it is time to look at the current league stat leaders. Currently leading the league in assists, with 587, is Atlanta Hawks superstar – Trae Young.

Young is averaging 11.5 assists a game which, if the season ended today, would be a career high for the seven-year veteran.

When looking on StatMuse at the players with the most assists in a single game this season, Trae holds 5 of the top 6 spots. Only Elfrid Payton stood in his way of having the top 5 all to himself, which is wild to think about.

Most look at Young as a pure scorer, but he is proving all of those that think that way completely wrong. He has turned into one of the, if not the, best passing guards in the NBA.

What are your thoughts on Trae? Did you know he was this dominant in the assists category this season?

As always, thank you for your time. If you’re still here and enjoyed this video, please consider giving it a thumbs up. If you’re interested in more NBA content, please consider subscribing.
