Except he doesn’t play defense which is why Dallas traded him. Lakers gave up 3 points short of a season high 131 points to the worse team in the league in his second game. Only TWO other games this season they gave up more in a regular non overtime game and that was 134 to the cavs and heat on the road.
You can’t beat elite teams without defense, you will never see a team that scores above league average but also allows above league average to win a championship.
Lakers second game with Luka they gabe up the most points that they had all season…losing AD defense is much worse than adding Luka offense.
Ad can give you 40 and 20 but with five blocks and lock down the other teams big plus protect the paint.
Luka can score a million, dish a ton of assists get a few steals and he gets boards, but he will never lock down any part of the court and the lakers don’t have a guy that can.
LeBron is 40 and mark my words the rest of this year the lakers will be the worst defensive team in the league or bottom five.
Dirk was in California for luka’s debut and shows again what a loyal humble human being he is. I am glad i got to watch him all those years and 7 years of luka. We need to boycott Patrick Dumont from Dallas. They had the money to keep him just didn’t want to pay. Mavericks were $157 million dollars profitable. They didn’t want lose money on their first year. My guess is they hope for a championship in couple of years so they can recover $3.2 billion they gave Cuban with the profit on top. They have zero respect for the longevity of this team. if you ever go to Vegas stay away from Las Vegas sands, and all their hotels.
