I hate the "they were exhausted " excuse. Its simply untrue. Denver had a week off between the end of the reg. Season and the start of the playoffs and another week between Lakers and Wolves series. They played 12 games between 4/15 and 05/05 and not a single back to back. Its an excuae and a bad one. Denver lost for 2 reasons. Reason 1 is they lost game 81 against the Spurs who were one of the worst teams in the association which cost them the 1 seed and forced them to play a Wolves team that was specifically designed to beat Denver. 2nd reason is Jokic took the entire 3rd quarter of game 7 with a 22 point lead off. Dude was an absolute no show and by the time he kicked it back im it was too late. Home court does matter….. it may matter less to Denver than ither teams but theats only half of the equation. If the other team is way worse on the road and tougher at home then why wouldn't you want them to play in a position where THEY are less successful?
They are title contenders. They just need to put effort. Have faith in our guys. No more negativity
Those Nuggets ratings are being dragged down by their early season struggles. If they keep playing like they have lately then they are very dangerous.
The key playoff factor, I believe is Jamal Murray. If Jamal is an effective #2 player in the playoffs. Michael Porter is playing better this year. Christian Braun is a better version of KCP. Aaron Gordon has been limited this year. The verdict is out on Russ, Julian, and Payton in the postseason. My gut tells me the Nuggs are better than last year, but unfortunately so is OKC.
It is very simple. If Murray and MPJ play at or above 80%+ of their ability, Nugz are not just contenders but within being favorites. If MPJ and Murray are ass, then this is a team that gets blown out by NYC, MIN etc…
Until we beat good teams no our defense is atrocious
I'd rather have no All Star games anymore and just let the players have a break.
The numbers say something i said since Russ started.. russ need to stick to joker no matter how no matter who gonna start from bench we can't have russ out without joker
