The Knicks three point defense has been one of the worst in the league allowing 37.8% from beyond the arc, which ranks dead last in the NBA. The NY Knicks are also not shooting threes, since the beginning of the year, the Knicks are shooting an average of 30.7 threes per game which ranks 30th in the NBA. New York is making 12.8 threes per game which ranks 19th in the NBA. Real one. Yo Wutup chat Fam. I'm hoping that during the second half, they make the defensive adjustment and hit that stride going in to the playoffs. They also have a mental "monkey" they need to kick, imo, they always play very tight and inconsistent in big games (okc,boston)
The perimeter defense must be fixed
What's stopping the knicks is a versatile 4 with size and a healthy mitch or a center like mitch better more creative use of their bench. Shooting more 3's at the same percentage.
I’m concerned with Thibs being out coached regularly especially when we have a chance and strategy is pivotal.

Our 3-point defense is illogical and horrible. And KAT needs to be more aware of his defensive help and cheap fouls.
Marsh has a point lowkey. People are so obsessed with talking about the Knicks' defense we aren't even mentioning that this team can and should be shooting more. I like this unique take on how the Knicks should go.
In a perfect world our perimeter defense and our perimeter offense improve at the same time, but only time will tell.

Bench is a major issue too. Starters playing way too many minutes and not 100 during playoffs or injuries

I agree with you 1000% Marshall but also at the same time I think with Mitchell Robinson coming back that will make the perimeter defense better too because people can actually be aggressive now n Guard because they know he’s back there protecting the rim
What's holding me up from believing they can get to the finals?
Well, their record against top 5 teams is like 1-8 or something right (maybe worse than that even)? It's pretty awful. They have no real bench, they keep blowing games 4th quarter.
They need to beat the Celtics on Sunday, that would be huge, make a statement they can do it.

The Knicks can't defend the three they are a second round out it doesn't matter if you bring back Mitchell Robinson they can't defend the three I don't understand how a defensive coach can't defend the three and you don't prepare for a team that blew you out and their weapon was the three you face him again and you get the same damn results Coach tibbs has to go.
