Anthony Edwards was asked about being the next “face of the NBA”, and said he “doesn’t want to be that guy”. Nick Wright, Chris Broussard, and Greg Jennings discuss who will be the next face of the league, and if the NBA All-Star Weekend should add a 1-on-1 tournament to the festivities.

  1. Jayson Tatum's demeanor is like Tim Duncan. Everyone knows at any given time, he can drop 40/12/10 on you but, he's not a generational talent. Frankly, nobody in the NBA is… In my eye's there is no MJ, Kobe, or Bird in the league. They're all pretend copies of the people i just mentioned. Perhaps the NBA rule changes are to blame?

  2. Nick, if Jokic would be terrible at 1v1, then he can't possibly be the best "player" in the league lol. That's how you develop the skills to eventually figure out your game and where it fits in a team dynamic.

  3. I think sucess (individual and team) will determine "face of the league" – and Lukas the most talked abt. player – hes one of not the most feared player… but it will dpeend on how much he will play (injuries) and how succesful he will be

  4. Because he's not. I think it's because you see him as similar to MJ that's why you're pushing for it. But in the grand scheme of things, he doesn't have "it", not talented enough, not nearly charismatic enough to be the face of the league. And you know what? That's the same problem with Wemby, Jokic, Luka, Ja, Tatum. All of them. You know what a face of the league look like? Luka with the athleticism of Lebron James. That's what's really holding him back. He's charismatic enough but he's got no special effects athleticism wise. In the case like this, he needs a Larry bird to carry the league if he's a Magic. A rivalry. That's how Adam Silver can get this thing going. But he's too busy with Gambling and farming players and viewers for Ads.

  5. On several occasions Tatum has spent weeks getting cooked for being, corny, scripted, and unoriginal in what should be raw authentic moments. That's why he's not in the face of the league conversation. Bro is a cornball.

  6. Tatum’s biggest problem is that he’s on the deepest team of his generation, and “face of the league” needs to be a star and some other guys. Sports talkers don’t know how to deal with anything else.

  7. Ja being the face might have taken a hit media wise, but to just dismiss him off the top and say he not in the conversation sounds like a personal bias. Imo🤷🏾‍♂️

  8. Luka's the legit #1 easily if he's healthy. His offense is unstoppable and will more than compensate for his defense.
    SGA is #2.
    Kyrie is #3

  9. Oscar talking crazy. Dont nobody gaf about what he gtta say either lol only reason its news is cus he spoke on Draymond. Hes time has passed and draymond is right about every thing he said about the league
