  1. Did You Here That, Racist Dallas Mavericks Fans? THE OWNER MADE THE DECISION TO TRADE LUKA DONCIC, NOT NICO HARRISON!

  2. DA clearly one of Nico's buddies. Nico orchestrated this and ownership approved it. Even in Nico's presser he took shots at Luka. All the reporting suggests this was Nico's idea primarily. I agree that this NEVER happens under Cuban's ownership but Aldridge trying to take the blame from Nico is ridiculous.

  3. We see this all the time in pro sports, regardless of which league. Ownership does things that seem inexplicable to their fans and they sort of break the social contract that they have with their fanbase. They make moves that makes no sense to fans or to the media that covers the team. This Mavs and Lakers trade is another glaring example of this and whether or not it is because the new owners want to save money or some other reason, this violates the fans' trust. This makes them wonder, are they committed to winning a championship? Are they committed to the future of the franchise. Obviously, this move says that they are not and as a Lakers fan, it tells me that Jeannie Buss is.

  4. 1) Niko should’ve bounced and went back to Nike if he really didn’t want to do that trade.

    2) New owners wanted him gone. Can’t make this trade without them. Also, intentionally didn’t tell Cuban until it was too late.

    3) Ownership is happy for Niko to get the blame, and hasn’t publicly came out to defend their own GM, just the team’s decision to trade Luka.

  5. Hey I've got a question or maybe just an observation. Boy it sure was weird that this trade went through at the perfect time to cuck the NFL and advertise the association at the "Actual" start of the nba season. Isn't that just perfect timing? This trade stinks a million ways and I'm posting my 5th comment on the Rich Eisen show. This family is done with the NBA. The 4th grade boys at school are done with the NBA. I think they would rather watch professional lacrosse. Boy they are loving some lacrosse right now.

  6. It's amazing EVERYONE was really baffled by the Luka trade except for Nico Harrison and the owner. It was just plain dumb.

  7. Agree that Dumont should get more criticism but I don’t agree with the assertion that Nico should receive less…he is well paid and is accountable for the basketball decisions that occur on his watch

  8. Mavs fans (or at least season ticket holders) should be able to class action lawsuit the Adlesons for what they did with Luka. That was AT THE VERY LEAST a HUGE mismanagement of resources that has likely set the franchise back like TWO DECADES!!!

I mean, the fact that they kept Mark Cuban, the 49% owner of the team, OUT OF THE LOOP concerning Luka until it was too late for him to do anything should be ALL THE EVIDENCE Mavs fans could have for a lawsuit.

How do you keep your BARELY minority owner out of the loop of MAJOR business decisions? If anything, Mark Cuban would have a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE case if he ever wanted to sue the people who bought most of the team from him. He's a MAJOR shareholder, and they didn't give the shareholder ANY say with the decision….so now Cuban's shares of the team are worth a LOT LESS than it had been!!!

  9. “Owners are allowed to do whatever they want.” And fans are allowed to do whatever they want like quit buying tickets and merch and quit watching. But sadly people are too internet and sports dependent anymore with not much else to hold their attention. So Mavs cheap ownership will basically get away with this.

  10. Nico Harrison and the new owners are the 1919 Boston Redsox that traded away Babe Ruth. They have made the most detrimental trade in sports history. Nico and the owners have ushered in the modern day curse of the Bambino.

  11. Maybe the owners simply don’t want to pay the super max because it takes a good chunk of the cap

  12. Clearly they were over Luka. We dont know what happened behind the scenes and no excuse from Nico will suffice so let's move on and wish both players the best…. 🙄

  13. The trade happened because Silver called the Mavs owner and told her to give Luka to the Lakers. Silver has a crush with LeBron and will do whatever he's told. This is why the NBA is in the toilet. The MBA gas reached mlb status now. It's now a sport that has a niche fan base but it's out of the mainstream and isn't coming back anytime in the near future

  14. I love how Luka doesn't have the commitment but they trade for a guy that in a good season he plays 40% of the season

  15. This is why Aldridge is one of the best to ever do it. This is the 1st national person to get at the true crux of the issue. I don't think he is defending Nico so much as rightly pointing out the level of organizational failure it was to have Nico have all the power to destroy the franchise (not to mention fan good will) in 1 move without any check or balance. For instance why wasn't Cuban or anyone in the sales/community relations staff involved in this decision. Anyone with any pulse on the true impact having Luka on the Mavs in Dallas would have let him know this was going to happen. It squarely points to either an owner that blindly trusted his GM with no other input or the owner gave the GM a set of objectives and the GM executed them.

  16. Not sure why Aldridge is saying the owners aren’t being criticized? They’re being excoriated, as Eisen pointed out with the protesters. And almost all sports analysts criticized the owners too. Harrison shouldn’t be protected, especially for the imbecilic statements he made supporting the decision.

  17. Dallas didn't want to pay Luka because Luka did not have the Shaq work like ethic.

  18. Nico said in front of J.Kidd that it was his decision. Nico said while he was having coffee with Rob Pelinka that he suggested Luka for A.D. It’s all Niko’s ideas with the blessings of the Dumont/Adelson cartel.

Niko needs to go back to Nike and sell shoes. He has no business in being a G.M.

The Adelsons/Dumont need to go back to Vegas and leave Dallas alone.

  19. Literally no one is denying that Mavs Ownership is to blame as well. Mavs fans are literally booing the owner at the games.

We get it, Niko’s your friend.
