Shai in first place mvp
Jokic could avg 100 and 50 and he would still be hatin
Espn not fooling with nicki
Lol Nicki logic joker needs only 1 more chip but brono got 3 rings and a Orlando covid pandemic bubble
If Jokic was 20% worse he d still be the best player and MVP
What are we talking about
This man avgs 23/10/8 WITHOUT 4th quarters
The argument the whole time was, “Joker is better but his team is bad”. They’re going to finish 2nd in the West, with no all star and a roaster the media laughed at during the beginning of the season. HISTORIC NUMBERS.
Jokic breathing = MVP
I don’t understand how team record is all that matters now but when they wanted to give it to embid and Denver was one seed it didn’t matter
I’m gonna boycott the nba if the steal another mvp from joker
This will feel like 2006 where the Best Player might not be the MVP
Jokic has almost double the on/off numbers that Shai does. He's also averaging a 30 point triple double on a very good team. There's no question who deserves MVP this season, and it's not Shai.
Steal it? Jokic is playing out of his mind.
The best player in the nba having his best season ever, also maybe the best season of any player since wilt chamberlain. And nick is still too stupid to give Jokic what he clearly deserves. Nba media is as corrupt as the normal media.
Shai about to get a Josh Allen mvp 🤦♂️
STEAL?STEAL?!what yall smokin on?
Anyone of ya watched any Nuggets game for like ONE time?
Titles in team sports are not an indication of individual greatness all the time, meaning the NBA players with the most titles are NOT the greatest players in history like Robert Hory and the eleven titles with the Celtics and I can argue some players titles are more impressive than others without a super team with multiple hall of fame players like Dirk in Dallas and Hakeem in Houston and Yanis in Milwaukee and Jokic in Denver and the 2004 Detroit
How do you steal something that is rightfully yours?
Nick is never right
Clearly you really hate NJ.
He’s too white to win it again don’t u know …
No one with any basketball knowledge or sense would be picking SGA over Jokic right at this moment. Jokic is way ahead its not even close. If you are picking SGA as a clear favourite you are basing this off how you think the voters will vote not who actually deserves it. SGA is favourite because everyone feels the voters have Jokic fatigue and want SGA to win.
Nick Wrong.
Hahah what clown..jokic is totally mvp , so hahahha , he could steal it haha
STEAL?????
SGA has played 4 more games than Jokic
He has 262 more total points than him
And only has 40 more FGM
But if Jokic had played 4 more games he would have roughly 119-120 more points than he does and if he had SGA's whistle he would have roughly 137 more points in addition to that so they would be separated by like (roughly) 5 total points despite Jokic averaging almost 2 FGA less PG than him (1.8 less FGA)
And even though he's played 4 games less than SGA he still has 180 more assists 346 more rebounds
With 4 more games that would be 387 rebounds and 220 assists more than SGA
So it's not even remotely close
And at least 15-16 of Jokic's FGA have been full court heaves lowering his FG% and 3 point %. He would be shooting 58.6% from the field and 48.2% for 3s (making him #1 for 3 point%) if not for the full court heaves.
He's already shooting over 5% higher from the field than SGA but it would be over 6% sans the full court heaves
All whilst having the most efficient season ever in NBA history smashing the previous record he already holds and the highest ever BPM season in NBA history and being #3 PPG, #2 APG, #3 RPG, #4 STL PG, #3 DFL PG, #4 3 PT % (would be #1 if if not for full court heaves), #2 Screen assists PG, #7 Box outs
That alone is unheard of
But then factor in this #1 for PER, BPM, OBPM, VORP, Win shares (despite plating 4 less games), Win shares 48, triple doubles, double doubles, offensive rating, on/off court rating, player impact rating, to win clutch POY #2 FG% out of top 35 scorers in the league behind Giannis despite playing in the stronger conference, taking tougher shots, shooting 3s, and leading the league in full or 3/4 heaves
And this is all despite Jokic getting one of the worst whistles, especially for a superstar and 3 x MVP winner, and players knowing they can get away with fouling, hacking and mauling him and that if they even breath on SGA they're getting in foul trouble which obviously makes it easier for SGA to score more points not just at his second home the FT line but in general
SGA has like 140 more FGA and 100 more FTA than Jokic in their last 18 games IIRC or at least prior to SGA's last game it was because that's when I tallied that up
Jokic has 25 triple doubles this season (the next closest has 10), 41 double doubles, and he's missed out on 7 more triple doubles by a single assist or rebound SGA has 2 triple doubles in his entire career and 4 double doubles this season.
Jokic has ranked #1 for BPM, PER, VORP, Win Shares, Win shares 48 for the last 5 years straight and is now the all-time NBA leader in BPM, PER, and WS/48.
Insane
The refs are consistently padding SGA's stats. He can shoot 30% from the field with only 7 FGM and they will ensure he walks away with a 25-30 game. It's happened about half a dozen games this season when he shot like beep and they've made sure he gets his points on the line
And Jokic is a human HL reel who has did you see that WTF? moments virtually every single game.
His HL reels for a single season are more impressive and longer than 99% of players career ones
I'm not even touching on the many records he's broken here either which he seemingly does on a weekly basis
There's no clear criteria and that's the problem. Using a more sound and logical criteria, Jokic wins, using a dumb reductionist one, SGA wins.
