the Ingram trade is growing on me, but if the goal is championship still think it falls flat
Ingram is in a "prove it" part of his career, but there are many questions that need to be answered about how this group will look next season as a whole.
Anyone still questioning this trade, what was a reasonable plan B? The money is getting tight, but this team has significant potential for next season, hopefully the draft lottery gods treat them well. They've got a solid starting 5 (need to work on chemistry, consistency from 3, and team D) and decent rookie contract bench guys. I'm excited to see how this plays out.
Morant to the Raptors
Someone cut Josh's mic jeez
Brandon Ingram was not âon the blockâ for two years. The pelicans viewed him as untouchable until this past summer. They wouldnât even include him in a potential deal for Kevin Durant a couple years ago. Circumstances changed. Be skeptical of the trade but do not misrepresent facts
The goal is a championship. To get there, youâre gambling on, first, Ingrams health and the quality of player he is. Assuming he satisfies those, next, youâre gambling on landing at or near the top of this draft, at a minimum, to select a game-changer rookie who makes you significantly better while fitting in contractually. Then, assuming all that went well, youâre hoping these guys can really mesh and grow together to become an elite championship level squad. I understand you need to take chances to win in professional sports but you need so many things to break your way here. I feel like if Fanduel put odds on this plan executing it would be +100000. All that said, i believe in our front office and will remain optimistic for the time being.
Goddamn. Lewenberg spoke for 8 straight minutes. Shaddup already.
Josh legit cleared his name in this. Everything he said I agree with. Masai needs to learn to stick to the fucking program.
