  1. This is probably the dumbest thing the nba has done in a while, and they routinely do stupid things, so that’s saying something lol

  2. Seriously? 25 games for unintentionally taking the wrong meds? it’s not PED. it’s not like Bobby is a drug addict. It’s a crazy penalty.

  3. So players can play high but a guy takes a strong painkiller with 0 other effects and you rob him of $3 million bucks. Plus he was lied to which considering his position is the equivalent of being drugged and we don't know whether or not this bonehead even knew what pill he was giving him. Sounds like a lawsuit for Bobby

  4. Why is Tramadol on their list anyway? I've taken it a couple of times for pain relief. And 25 games!!!!!! You would think he got caught selling a kilo of cocaine to a junior high kid.

  5. Absolutely ridiculous. Portis plays through injuries and loves the game. You’re gonna suspend him for this and let other players get away with bashing the league on live tv 😂 this pisses me off. Portis is my favorite player. He’s a hog. I’m an Arkansas boy. Watched him my entire life. This is bull butter

  6. Tramadol is about as weak of a narcotic as there is. Pretty much extra strength Tylenol . This suspension is actually ridiculous

  7. what an idiot. ur a millionaire bro u got pain take some Tylenol. get a massage. maybe sit in a steam room or hottub…

  8. I don’t even think this is a big deal. It’s not it’s steroid or anything. Just a pain med. this gets you 25 games but a gun gets what 7-8. Man stop it nba.

  9. You get Tramadols in South African government clinics for free because it's a cheap option. NONSENSE ruling. I use Tramahexal SR 200mg twice or three times a day and I still limp. RUBBISH.

  10. As a MD, this seems extremely excessive. Yes tramadol is a controlled substance but it is an opiate which has no effect on his performance. It’s a pain killer. If it was a PED, that’s one thing, but this is just too much

  11. This is such nonsense. Athletes regularly take much more serious drugs than tramadol on a nightly basis. I’m not buying this story at all.

  12. Yeah that’s unfortunate. I can see where he made that mistake. If he doesn’t have a history of doing this, I think the the league should have taken his word for it. Yes, I think he should be punished, but this is a tough one
