  1. I hate this.
I can't bare watching incredible player fall to injury.
I hope Wemby comes back from this better than ever.

  2. I have conspiracy theory. San Antonio is faking this. They are tanking to have a chance at getting the number one pick.

  3. I Truly Believe that life-threatening conditions like this should NOT disqualify players from All NBA awards. Yes, it should be taken into account since they missed games – but something this type of condition that has nothing to do with the game or even taking care of your body – its unfair. I already thought he'd end up being a guy that gets way fewer awards than he deserves due to his frame, but wow. Blood clot. Do you remember how that derailed Caris Laverts trajectory? Pray for Victor man

  4. Spurs fan since twin towers. I've always respected the organization for no off court problems and Pop's genius to change the game. I really thought with wemby the team would have been better than they have, granted he is young but the hype made it seem it would be dominance. I hope this doesn't shorten his career and he can continue to grow before Pop retires

  5. Watch Brian Sutteres video. Just found out that the reason he’s out of the season is because he’ll have to be out on blood thinners for 3-6 months. Brandon Ingram had the same condition but made a full recovery too. Prayers to Wemby

  6. Looks like he has serious medical issues that ruined his career. You don't take off a whole year for a single blood clot. So sad he just turned 21

  7. As a Spurs fan in SA, the I first got the notification on my phone while I was on lunch at work, and when I looked up at the TV tuned in on our local news station seeing the words "Breaking: Victor Wembanyama out for season", my heart stopped. Of course the first initial reaction was that this is something super serious and I just was hoping it wouldn't be career altering. As the day went on and more news came out, I think the Spurs community was put at ease a bit as there's positivity on this being a one-time thing. We also weren't really in a position to compete anyways so dropping down in the standings this specific year was the silver lining in this and definitely gives us hope for next year.

We now have the chance to snag another big rookie. Either we move up in the draft or force our way to the top somehow.

I think this injury may have a butterfly effect that we won't fully understand for another 15 years.

  8. Long time spurs fan. I’m disappointed that he loses the opportunity to get DPOY and all NBA selections, that would have been huge for him early in his career… but I’m just hoping he recovers easily and we get to see more Area 51 awesomeness. Get better quick Wemby, we miss you already.

  9. Yeah same thing Brandon Ingram had in what 2018 or 19? Had to miss the season while on blood-thinners and then was ready to go and hasn't had any issues since. So hopes are pretty high this is a real bummer for this season, but shouldn't matter for his career.
