With Ky and this Mavs team, Max, he is definitely going to become a star. He will get plenty of opportunities to shoot. He honestly needs to be more agrresive, which I am sure will come as he gets more comfortable playing with his teammates. He may look like he has been here all season, but he has only played 7 games with the Mavs. Also, Max spends all his free time in the gym practicing. That is the type of player you want. Like you said, he has that Kobe mentality. He doesn't go out partying or anything like that. It's pretty impressive for a kid who just turned 22. His defense is already elite, and you can see his offense is close. 16 points on 7 shots, 6 makes, is so ridiculously good. He is so efficient. He needs to be more aggressive, and he would easily average 25 a game.
