Evan Mobley makes a BOLD CLAIM and if he’s right, it changes everything for the Cleveland Cavaliers

Cavaliers All-Star Evan Mobley recently sounded off on the team’s championship aspirations in an interview with D.J. Siddiqi of Basketball Insiders, where it was made clear he wasn’t backing down from any challenges.

”I think this year is definitely the year for us and we all want to get to the championship,” Mobley said. “I feel like we all are on the same page with that and we all believe that we can win a chip this year, so that’s the plan.”

Mobley has been a considerable factor in the Cavaliers having an opportunity to swing for the Finals. He’s had his best year in the league since being drafted in 2021, averaging 18.5 points, 9.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 blocks in the 48 games he’s suited up for, leading to his selection as one of Cleveland’s three All-Star selections.

  1. Browns wouldn't know what to do with Travis Hunter. QB room is empty. Coach em up may be beyond this regime. Choosing good players is proven to be beyond this front office ability.

  2. Strange time in the sports calendar. Football has ended with the draft not for a couple of months, baseball has begun, but not in games that count, basketball/hockey are not in playoff mode and not yet NCAA March Madness. The in between period if you will.

  3. Already being a top 3 defender, Evan is top 10 if he hits 25 points and 10 rebs a game. If he becomes unstoppable in the post and taking people off the dribble, he's top 5.

  4. Mobley’s confidence is at all time high.

The sky is the limit for him
He has the physical tools and work ethic, the only question is how far he’s willing to go.

  5. They seem to miss the fact that he is on a team where he does not have to be 25-10 He's certainly the future of this team & no doubt he is capable of putting up those numbers
