JImmy Butler has shown he could lead a group of misfits to the NBA finals the first season he was traded to Miami. Imagine what he can do now joining a team with Steph Curry and Draymond Green. The Warriors already look like a new in the last 5 games with Butler on the squad. Is it crazy to think the Warriors are going to win the NBA championship this year? Maybe, but it's not as crazy as it sounds when you consider there's no one team in the league that's so dominant they are guaranteed to make it out of their own conference in the playoffs let alone win in the finals.
8/10 is crazy. You'd have to think that Celtics, OKC, Cavs each are more likely to get the chip. Add in Knicks and Nuggs… Giving GSW anything more than 1/10 seems pretty crazy.
Title? Let’s assume healthy rosters for that series. I think both Boston and Cleveland are stronger teams. Assuming the young guys keep learning at a moderate clip and don’t regress I can see them matching up well, but still disadvantaged. The main advantage GS owns is 4 players with multiple appearances deep into the postseason. Boston matches this, though. The Cavs are running on all eight. I don’t know if they have the dog mentality. That is where GS meets up to get close to evening out the odds. Still, I give the east a healthy edge.
The West. Again, assuming full rosters. OKC and Dallas are problems for GS. LAL, LAC, Denver and MN are uphill climbs.
OKC has so much it is positively dizzying. With Chet, Hartenstein, JDub, Dort and SGA all I can say is rots of ruck. Experience will play a part but I think OKC has to fall apart to be beat. I don’t think GS can pick them apart. The Mavs are another problem. Davis, Kyrie, Lively and Gafford. Klay? if he is consistent he amplifies the problems a couple times. Solid secondary. Oof. If the Dubs can keep up the Denver’s starting five GS will have a big advantage with their depth. BIG advantage. The other teams will all be tough series to get through further excaberbatimg the the matchups with their depth PROBLEM teams.
All that said, I really like this team. I think they are the dark horse of the season and if they continue to gel will be a real problem for any team to meet. To reach the top there are potentially 57 games to get through and that is if the Dubs get the 6th seed.
Golly what a storybook season it would be for the whole team.
Regardless of what happens, no one is going to want to see them next year.
I am just pleased as punch as a Dubs fan right now. Another big big plus is they get even to the second round it will be a success. The young guys will get much needed seasoning and the organization will get accurate data of what they have or don’t have.

Steve Kerr is the worse coach. His weird lineups with 4 guards on the floor and a short center is stupid. Put Quinten our only 7 footer with Trayce, Butler, Kaminga and Curry. Put some big guys that can play defense and score. Draymond can go in for Trayce or Kaminga, guards can switch up for Curry and Kaminga, and you have Santos and Looney as well. Honestly we don’t need a stretch big, we need a defensive big for all the 7 footers that destroy us. This is annoying but maybe there is hope.
moses moody and QP are the true X factors. they are the 3rd and 4th best shooters on the team. moody provides shooting and length on the perimeter podz and buddy with jimmy on the 1st rotation when curry sits could be lethal
