lol how are the lakers not contenders ? Who in the west is so capable of beating them in a seven game series. Their biggest challenge were the Nuggets and that matchup is completely different now. They’re not favorites, but I think they’re definitely contenders.

The bench is mostly terrible. Tyson, for instance, has no business being on an NBA roster. Booth and Malone, to a degree, have screwed Jokic with awful roster construction.
Nuggets have no defense and no bench. Therefore, they are not a championship contender.

You argue for him to get foul calls then you also say the Lakers were very physical without foul calls.

Its almost comical how this team can't stretch the floor and get into better positions when opponents double or triple Jokic. Its the easiest thing to do, like you are open, either move to a better angle for a pass or cut inside.

I’m convinced MPJ & Mal can’t coexist on the same team. One will struggle while the other feasts. Their games just aren’t compatible. So this offseason, when Mike is traded, I can only hope they sign a good 3 & D player who Jok can utilize.
The Fakers still suck. This was their championship. They’re still a play in team with no real center. Denver would still beat these bums in a best of 7.
I also have a pet theory that Jok doesn’t play well against his European friends. Luka especially. M not looking up the stats, because they’re boring & for nerds, but I think Jok felt sorry for Luka last night and didn’t play hard. That’s what it looked like.
I think Jokic was just stubborn, he thought Lakers defense was stupid, giving up 4v3 before anything happens and he was like okay, I don't have to do anything you guys beat them, and when they didn't, he just didn't change because in principal he thought he was right…and of course he was, but the team is what it is, and they are gonna let Nuggets play 4v3 even 4v2 at times…that's just reality of this roster
D Line is always the most depressed and mad when we lose like this. I feel him! Definitely identify the most with him in these moments, it's excruciating!😱

This team is horrific on defense and that is their biggest problem.

Let us hope they respond the same way they did to the clippers loss in 2020. Sadly, I don’t see the same fire from the players as I did before they broker through and won the title. Hopefully this will be the ignition point for a title run but I am not optimistic.

Your main issue is you don’t have 2 Aaron Gordons. He can only guard one of Luka or Bron. That’s an advantage that you will have no answer for.
That was pathetic. When Jokic isnt aggressive hes a hard watch he would rather make a pass that results in a turnover or a worse shot than to take it himself. He's to terrible at defense to be ok with just being a distributor. He knows the double is coming so he should take his game from the high post to the low post and get his shot quicker. If all it takes is to put a 6'7 small fw on Jokic and double hard to win the Nuggets are cooked
nuggets always get cooked in prime time games .. Strawther has a terrible shot release his push shot is so inconsistent it looks like he's just hoisting up shots no accuracy … just like murray he gets cooked on defence
Fluke loss. I dont care what the doomers say, we lost to a BAD TEAM! Might as well have lost to the bulls or blazers again, Lakers are NOT good. We are still in championship form
