Memphis lost to Cleveland tonight so they're tied with Denver for 2nd place in the West, and the Lakers are now only 2 games out of 2nd place. And Denver has some tough games ahead and Memphis isn't really playing that great and have lost 4 out of the last 6. Onward and Upward Lakers!

Free agency gonna be good. If bronny keeps it going, Vincent is expendable. Kleber might be bad goods at this point. They can get Myles turner or a good big and another player
Jj has done well coaching this team. But at this point of the season he is no way coach of the year. And it's not close. 1) Kenny Atkinson 2) J.B. Bickerstaff 3) Then Taylor Jenkins comes to mind. This is too easy.
Reaves is a better player than Biel at this point. If we’re still calling Phx a big 3 it’s perfectly fine to include Reaves in Lakers Big 3.

Definitely a great win that served as Coach JJ's "FU" to SAS, Barkley, and the doubters. But I hope they can sustain the effort and the 3-ball% continues to improve. A seven game series vs the Nuggets would be a huge challenge.

Did we all forget how Miami got their championships? It was literally D.Wade being the ball handler, LeBron playing off-ball and Bosh the center with 3 point threat and roaming mobility.

this is why this trade elevated Lakers to a different (AD i still miss you very much), Lebron makes below average players better because of his playmaking and ability to take over the game himself despite being 40. Luka is at 25 and he's even better than Bron at this point at that. So for the entire game, we will AT LEAST have an all time great playmaker on the floor. Oh Yea then Austin Reaves. And i keep saying this, you don't need a true big to win games if you have a bunch of big athletic players at other positions. DFS, Rui, Bron, Luka, Vando who are great at boxing out and rebounds. Ok maybe not Rui but hes been decent at rebounding. Just gott gameplan, and Hayes is still an important piece because hes athletic and can be useful both ends especially with Bron an Luka
The Lakers smallest dude in that "death linup" is Reaves.
Rui is 230, Bron is "250", Luka is "270"
That fat guy at LA Fitness who understands positioning is going to get boards, and he's solid in the post. I love AD…I've always thought he needed better half court players around him, though. This team is a bigger version of the Warriors.
Bron is Draymond, Luka is Curry, Reaves is Klay, Finney is Dre (not the playmaker), and Rui is KD (obviously not offensively, but he can guard just as well…when he wants to) KD played center for that lineup, btw.

LeBron has been asking for a primary ball handler since 2021 (since his decline in stamina due to age), even tried to make AD an offensive hub and now people are saying he can’t off ball 😂
Amazing what bigs can do when you get them involved on offense you see that right now with jaxson Hayes now that he gets lobs and passes off screens he's more engaged defensively so expect him to keep that up and I disagree with Trevor about Alex len he's still getting acclimated to the team gotta remember Reddick actually calls plays he's not darvin ham so don't expect him to throw guys out there on the wim until they get adjusted and start playing at the pace he wants on both ends

This just feels like one of those games where Lakers have great game plan and win game 1, buuuuuut seems like Denver would adjust in a 7 game series.
When they hired JJ in the offseason, I said he would be a top 5 coach. Why? Bc he is a psycho. Always follow someone’s traits and desire. Anything he decides to go after, he does it 100%. He was going to be more prepared than 90% of other coaches on day one. Like I said he’s a psychos and psychos are good at their chosen profession, we just hope it is not politics or serial killers.

Will Luca sign an extension with Lakers?
at this point…having Luka and Lebron in the same team…. the Lakers should win the championship. It's already a given. If they dont win the championship this year…that would be an embarrassment.

Lebron is still better then Luka you can clearly see it. Luka chucks up shots and gets points. I don't think the ball should be in Lukas hands by default that's insane.

I really think lebron is better then Luka. Luca’s is young play the whole game. Chucks up shots. gets to the free-throw line. Shoots below 50% shoots a lot of three so the points add up even though he misses a lot. I really really don’t think he’s better than LeBron or ever has been even at 40 years. Old LeBron is better. I don’t buy into the notion that we should put the ball in Lucas’s hands for him to chuck up shots and bring moments and miss or make them place when LeBron is a proven 4x champion and veteran.
DFS has to be more involved with the offense.
Plus Lakes still have Alex Len and Max Kleibur as bigs to implement into the rotation when the playoffs start
We gotta extend Rui. We can't lose him next season. Sign a decent center too.
