Its a national televised game so it got a bunch of attention, but the idea that the lakers came up with some master playoff game plan is crazy lmao. You do realize we have no center besides jaxson hayes and been playing this same way vs every big center? They didnt do anything new to jokic that they didnt do to KAT in NY & held him like jokic to a whopping 11 points & 6 rebound game. Took zubac out the game with same game plan vs clippers, did same to celtics etc lol. Theres a reason they are ranked #1 defense & #1 in scoring in their last 18 games. This is just how lakers play

No. I mean aside from the fact the front office have been wasting Jokic's prime for years, and still wouldn't get any help before the deadline, we have a coach who allows the best player and scorer in the world to keep having games where he opts not to shoot much or near as much as he should be. He can still facilitate and get everyone involved whilst having 20 FGA but Malone is like you do whatever you want to do Jokic even when it's clearly costing us wins or we're having to claw back big deficits and making things harder than they need to be. This cost us the #1 seed in game 81 against the Spurs last year. How many FGA did Jokic have in 3 quarters or even 3.5 and I don't mean full court heaves or his own offensive rebounds.
They won 9 in a row and took a game off in the regular season. No big deal. Lakers fans treating it like their championship is just sad.

It's a crazy loss. The unfortunate part of this is, it just might have cost Jokic his MVP because the Media right now is hellbent on looking for any reason to give it to Shai. This one seals the deal. So this is a very big game loss.
