Toronto Raptors: Was The OG Anunoby Trade Worth It?
Toronto Raptors: Was The OG Anunoby Trade Worth It?
In this episode, we examine the recent play of RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley as well as an in-depth look at the Raptors 127-109 victory over the Phoenix Suns.
While it sucks to see OG go, it was a good trade for us to make at that time. I like the direction the team is heading now, and I'm excited to see how Ingram fits into all this. One thing that worries me is it's also very easy for next season to also go poorly if a few things don't pan out like Scottie not being as aggressive or injuries hit the team again. I feel like we're on a pretty narrow wire, so I hope this team has a honest chance of succeeding.
My question for Raptors fans is a year into the trade who would you be sadder to see leave, Quick or RJ? Quick was always the main part and RJ was seen as an overpaid asset but I've been really loving what he's been bringing to the team, and how he complements Scotties game.
Great content! Thanks. Like Offensive side of OG & Def still a work in progress. Hoping Ja’Kobe and Ochai can continue to grow as defenders so they can support and blend in with starters. JP and SB good to very good on defense. Need more parimeter defense
I think if OG wanted to stay, this trade might be even or a slight loss for us just because hes a championship level starter. But since he wanted out and since iq still has so much potential, I call it a win
Great video again as always. Personally I wouldnt trade RJ Barrett and the pick (mogbo) straight up for OG. Especially at his 45 million salary. Nevermind iq
I'm surprised iq is hitting 45% on fgs, I feel like he's missing so many shots in the paint. When he figures that out. He should be close to a 20 ppg player or more
im so proud of the growth rj has done since coming home. we might have to trade him because of the oversupply of on-ball creators, but ill forever love what he's done for us and im rooting for everything he does.
It’s so exciting to watch when the Raptors turn up the heat like they did in the last quarter last night. RJ and IQ are a big part of that excitement and momentum.
A nice analysis of the trade. I think this was a win-win trade. RJ was not going to blossom in New York and Quickley was stuck in the rotation pecking order. OG got his $$$ and the Knicks got a solid player.
At this rate, I am pretty sure Knicks are gonna block any Toronto number calling them.
As much as I like Quickley, I personally prefer we trade him, keep Barrett longterm and let Scottie run point with BI, Barrett, Dick, Poeltl, and whatever our top pick becomes.
A lot of bits will need to come together but I think RJ and (hopefully) IQ are key pieces to the huge turn around the Raptors are going to make next season. RJ, IQ, Barnes, Jak, and BI have a ton of potential as a high level starting 5 in the East, plus so much young talent off the bench!

What a video title!
I love it when Boucher pops off
RJ Barrett – Immanuel Quickley and J. Mogbo for OG and Precious
i think so since RJ was a throw in basically.

Jak and RJ have been great this year but the problem is they can't play in clutch moments in 4th quarters if they can't hit free throws.
