    That’s how important a 7foot tall center is. This what they looked like when Chot is coaching and benched Kai Sotto.

    The leeway for New Zealand to get physical was too much! There were so many hard hand-checks by the Tall Blacks that the referees didn’t call. But if Gilas had done the same, they would have been called for a foul! New Zealand won because of that leeway. This game is not the same if they play in a different country.

    Gilas dapat independent! Di kukuha sa pba players. Pba teams are owned by negosyentes priority ay kumita at hindi aasenso ang gilas.konti panalo napakaraming talo..

    Seems like Gilas is nothing without foreign imports or mixed race players. If they rely solely on their domestic players, they are not competitive even in Asia's compettion.

    PH basketball is a lost cause. PH should invest in a different sport instead. NZ is not even a basketball country.

    This is a good test for Gilas kapag kulang sa prep time pagod ang players or kulang ang lineup ng main player. I think they did well holding up to a very strong team NZ. Tambak pero di ganon kalaki madaming room for adjustments makikita mo kung ano need ng team which is always a good sign. Congrats players and Coaching staff. Saludo ako sainyo thank you for doing your best for our country. I think AJ Edu is the one that really showed his potential for the team. Saka si Scottie dati ayaw ko sakanya pero talagang pansin mo yung mga maliliit na bagay na nagagawa niya. Tapos si Oftana naman nag sisimula nako mag doubt sakanya feeling ko di niya na fill ng maayos role niya saka di niya na uutilize yung kaya niyang gawin. He needs to score more. He's there for a reason shoot more 3's . He's good defensively but may mas pwede pa pumalit sakanaya. Tapos for me CJ Perez still gusto ko sana mapalitan siya. No hate pero confuse ako sa role niya sa team. Talagang kita na need ng Gilas ng consistent beyond the arc shooter. Kahit di nanonood ng basketball kitang-kita yung kahinaan ng team. For me this showed na may limit ang magagawa ng good defense sa team na napaka taas ng shooting percentage beyond the arc. Kelangan natin makasabay sa shooting nila tapos okay naman na sa depensa. Di lang nakasabay sa scoring.

    Gilas not totally serious this game, avoid possible injury, may semi finals pa ung ginebra, at saka pareho na silang pasok ng New zealand, rematch nalang sila sa totoong competition by augost
