Good work getting DJ over here Gavin. Excellent show. Funny how we go a decade as a laughing stock but being 3rd has become unacceptable. If I compare to the 90s Knicks as is often done, those guys took some of the best teams of all time right down to the wire & made them earn it. The opponent came away battered even if we lost. We had a bit of that going before this offseason & now we have none of it. Its not about the record. What everyone is really saying is that we do not believe in this version of our Knicks. Jan 2024 is still out there mocking us all.
This Coach can't maximizing the defense and forget the offense
The closest I've heard a content creator actually question Leon Rose. Thank you. This roster has clear holes. His Mikal decision is not panning out, the roster misses Donte's 3PT frequency, and KAT continues to be a liab on defense.

My Knicks have no identity which makes it hard to watch them play. I think it's time to hire a high tech coach with innovative ideas that will prevent our guys from looking crazy when facing elite teams. Mikal Bridges doesn't fit the NY market.
This team needs to shoot for being top 3-5 in apg. Dont think Bridges being poor at the "above the break" three is a permanent problem. I think he can figure it out. I do think they need to actively drop things up for him though. You look at old highlights and hes a very capable rhythm/off the dribble shooter and scoring in transition. His mental and disappearing act is concerning though.
Mikal is fine he's been playing out of position and not utilize enough on offense this falls on jb and thibs 2nd we are undersized at the wing position and og hasn't looked like og from last year he's non existent on offense we don't have enough shot creators no rim protector achewa is a complete joke on D and offense Kat is the worst laziest defender in the nba and thibs is stuck in the 90's with his defensive schemes dropping back doesn't work we have a good foundation but we need work we need depth a rim protector and upgrade on the wings and coaching.
Brunson skates by with 0 criticism. Hes part of the offensive issue. We are towards the bottom of the league in every ball sharing category, he is 1st in the league in amount of dribbles per possession. Championship teams share the ball. Its on him and Thibs to do a way better job of creating offense for the other players. Everytime someone else touches the ball they are immediately looking for Brunson to pass it right back to him. We barely run any actions to get other guys into rhythm. Theres a reason that KAT starts cooking in the 2nd quarter as soon as he plays with the bench unit, they share the ball and play with pace. I know ppl will push back on this cause Brunson is the prodigy but he needs to do a better job.
If mikal or Kat was on this team Last season they would've got moved or boo'ed out the building,knicks made a mistake getting those 2 bums on this team.
