Knicks CONFIRM Ridiculous Reason Why Mikal Bridges Is LIMITED On Offense… | Knicks News

The Knicks seem to have their offense primarily run through Karl-Anthony Towns & Jalen Brunson. But when those two are struggling, we need other players to step up, especially on offense. Mikal Bridges is one of those players, he needs to have the ball in his hands more. However, we recently learned the ridiculous reason why the Knicks play Mikal Bridges more off ball, which limits his offense… Troy Mahabir breaks all of this down!

  1. Don't like Thib philosophy. Why he is putting his Team in such disadvantage. Too picky and choosy recipe for failure.

  2. Bridges in Ananobi just can't play together. Neither one of them can create an offensive move off the dribble, really. They both need to be fed off the kickout to score. Unless ..Annaobbi and bridges post up! More often.

  3. OG anunoby thrives at the small forward position.
Mikal Bridges gains an advantage at the shooting guard position

Huk should have been the starting center ( until Mitch got back) and move KAT to the 4.

    5. Huk
    4. KAT
    3. OG
    2. Bridges
    1. JB
That lineup would put all players back to the position they thrive at the most and give the Knicks the height that they need.

  4. It was a mistake getting him in the first place leave it to the people who run this team to screw up that badly

  5. The only way Bridges can be utilized on a game-to-game bases is having him become the floor general with the 2nd unit. As knicks fans we can see that the 1st unit most nights is the Brunson Kat show.

  6. That's thibodeau job to figure that out and have Hart coming off the bench or MB coming off the bench

  7. Troy I got you- Stay with me here for a minute. If we make this change it will be magic! We need to put players who compliment each other which Thibodeau does not do well. Starters Brunson, Towns, Anunoby, Robinson, McBride – Miles gets more open shots with Jalen and is a true 2 guard where Hart is not a 2. Towns is struggling on defense because he is not as comfortable playing down low. Then second unit- Bridges, Hart, Payne, Precious, and Hukporti. Josh Hart was great off the bench last year. He brings that energy against seconds and they can't handle him. Bridges has been a disappointment but I don't think we have put him in a place to be successful as you mentioned.

  8. Thibs os trying to recreate the golden State warriors original playbook by being guard heavy and running around a pg thats like steph curry. We are not the golden state, hes limiting his players in such way. His bench etc

  9. Only thing I want people to remember a lot of guys don’t play the same in the playoffs than the regular season

  10. I hear you bro!.. but mikal just don't have that dogg in him!… we could scheme and lineup change all we want but boi just don't have that killer in him

  11. Getting the ball stuck in Brunson’s hand or force feeding KAT is not good basketball. When the ball is moving and everyone is involved, we play better. Bridges can never get in a rhythm and when he does, it’s often too late. I thought Bridges was brought here to help take pressure off Brunson, be that slash to the basket type player. I blame Thibs!!!

  12. I think Jalen Brunson ball dominant style hurts Bridges and OG. This idea Reduces them to basically catch and shoot guys. When the second unit is in and anyone besides Brunson handles the ball Bridges and to a lesser extent OG create more on offense. I also don’t want to see Thibs return. I would love Mark Jackson to take over and institute the Warriors style offense. I know that’s a pipe dream. So I suffer with this coach burning out five guys one of which will likely be injured from overuse.

  13. Sounds like a good plan with Bridges but honestly their biggest problem to me is their defense. They have talented defensive players but give up huge numbers. That defensive identity is what built this team
