Things have gone from bad to worse! The New York Knicks continue to deal with injuries to the starting unit but this new injury hits hard. Karl-Anthony Towns has suffered an injury to his left knee, the same knee he had surgery on last year. If that’s not bad enough, we also have an update on KAT’s thumb injury, and the news isn’t good… Troy Mahabir breaks all of this down!

I'm usually with you on the points you make but not this one. I'm not blaming thibs, towns has a habit of exaggerating injuries a bit in-game. It doesn't bother me at all honestly. If I know that he does that, then thibs definitely know it as well
At this point it don't even matter. We gotta make some moves next year.

Spending big money 💰 on fragile players
Towns's behavior is not a new phenomenon for the Knicks. This type of 'toughness' is part of the player culture on this team. I can remember a few times when Brunson ran back to the locker room only to emerge and insist on getting back into the game minutes later. It's risky for sure, but it is also why the city loves the grittiness of this group. Dealing with discomfort and injuries is part of the job. I do truly hope that Kat felt some discomfort that wore off considerably after walking on it a bit and made a calculated decision to come back.
Thibs's reduced rotation tendency is a concept that I think he is pushing for a couple reasons. One is he is playing the team as if they were in the playoffs the entire season hoping it will prepare them better for the post season than all the other teams that are more conservative. Since the Knicks aren't clear contenders (they're close, but still a step away), he feels like this risky approached is warranted (perhaps necessary). I wouldn't be surprised if he also thinks back to (and feels vindicated by) 2023 when Thibs turned the season around by shrinking the rotation in February.
How is it Thibbs fault. If he plays bench the team would be setting behind Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana fighting to stay in the 5th or 6th seed. KAT has been known during his career as being soft so he is trying to proof he is not soft.
The Knicks made a comeback and were down single digits in the 4th quarter. The Knicks were getting killed on the board. Boston played 2 7 footers and that lineup gave the Knicks problems. KP was posting up Josh Hart.

At one point in the game, we had Cam, Shamet, Deuce and Precious with KAT on the court, and they were SCORING! Coach Thibs, play the bench mofo!
OMG this is terrible news
I turned the game in with 4 minutes left and the first thing I wondered after seeing the score was…..why are the starters still in the game? These guys are going to be worn down to nothing by the time the playoffs arrive and the bench will not have logged enough minutes over the season to be effective. Thibs sucks as a coach! They have done nothing to address their 3 point defense and the offense struggles at times when playing against bigger teams with good defenders. Fire Thibs now, the modern game has passed him by!
They can send the entire team to go do whatever necessary surgery is needed, cuz we damn sure ain't going nowhere this year…

Good day. Please speak more on the firing of thibodeau. He was suppose to be a defensive genius. Well it also looks like Kat, Hart and OG wil be the next Derrick Rose. Thibs ruined his career also.

Playing your starters 40 Plus minutes is already a red flag about Thibbs, but now he's bringing injured players back in a game that's already over. How can the bench get better if they hardly play???

I'm certainly no expert, but I have been saying Thibs should have been gone 2 seasons ago. The team has peaked under Thibs' limited ability to coach them. He'll exhaust his starters and use his bench as cheerleaders, for the most part
