As a Knicks fan I knew the mikal trade was bad when it happened because mikal is good but is the type of guy who will be a reliable role player throughout his career but certainly not worth 6 firsts
As a wolves fan I knew we'd be taking a step back after this trade. The trade was to create long term financial flexibility and ultimately maximize Ant's championship window. Also despite making the WCF I do not believe we were on the brink of a championship with several aging pieces and no flexibility
Caruso hasn’t been healthy and hasn’t been very good when on the court, bulls won the trade by a lot even though they didn’t get a first, giddey can be a legitimate part of their future if he learns how to shoot, y’all forget he’s only 22 🤷♂️
Kat is going to make 55 mil next year it didn’t make sense to pay him and be in the second apron if we weren’t gonna win a chip with Kat you knicks fans will see he is giant choker he will choke in the playoffs

IF he resigns this summer, I think it’s a win-win trade for both teams. OKC got an elite defender with a friendly contract, and the Bulls get a young PG who adds size to the team. He can definitely be a starter for the near future.
Giddey has been a very good starter for the Bulls this year and is still only 22yo. I’d say a b/b+ for the bulls. Getting Giddey is worth more than getting a heavily protected 1st with salary filler players.
Caruso has been good on defense for the Thunder, but has been straight up bad on offense this season and is about to start making 18-22 mil for the next four years on a new contract, while already being over 30yo. That contract could become bad for the thunder very quickly if he regresses any more over the next couple of years. C+/B- for Thunder.
I’m sorry but the Giddey trade is excellent for the Bulls. Traded away a 30 year old role player for a 22 (21 at the time) tall PG who has genuine all star potential
