the houston rocket pick is protected 1-10 for okc so im guessing suns are tanking for okc pick think about it
To be clear, the Nets still own the Suns' 2025, 2028 and 2029 first round picks. The Rockets only acquire the Suns pick if they miss the playoffs (likely to happen). Houston also has Phoenix's 2027 pick and a 2029 swap.
As a Nets fan, this Houston long-con goes back even further: This went all the way back to making the correct bet against Brooklyn’s Big 3, then flipping their Nets short to a Suns short that fit their schedule. Raphael Stone has been a better GM than Daryl Morey ever was, maybe because he doesn’t spend so much time tending his own legend with friendly reporters.
