It seems like Quin doesn't believe in Zaccharie. Why play Niang so much? This team is poorly managed top to bottom
Basically this season just is what it is. We are trending to end the season how it was always predicted in the first place. I and many Hawks fans were hoping for a league shocking run at 6th seed but that’s extremely unlikely at this point. We lost our highest + – high minute guy in Jalen and our backup pg early, constantly dealt with injuries to key rotation players, and had a trade deadline that was a balance between increased bench depth and future financial stability. We need to just look forward to the draft and how much better Zacc, Dyson, and JJ will play next season. Trae might be gone but he also might stay and sign somewhere else next summer. It’s been real. Thanks Brad for your continued coverage. 2021 might’ve just been the Hawks fan’s version of a Championship. It’s not gonna happen anytime soon
I like the excitement that Mo brings. At this point they should let he and Risa play more. Those 2 doing well probably is what gives most of us faithfuls reason to stay vested. To be honest Mo's out of position /mistakes are far less frustrating than others careless turnovers that pros simply shouldn't make.
Don't look back.
Go Hawks!
Quin is a lost af coach I swear, why on earth does he have Zacc on the bench all the while for? This dude can ball he gives us the added length we need on the inside and to defend the perimeter which was vacant all night for long bombs by the heat 😣😤 ..he's got great I.Q. for a rook also and a smooth developing skillset that provides a lot of what's missing at KEY points during the game ..tbh at this point our chances at the playoffs are slim to none it all boils down to a sudden smarting up of our squad from top to bottom beginning with the coach. There's enough games remaining so all hope is not lost it's all about erasing these mistakes and learning quickly from here on out LET'S GO HAWKS!!! 🦅🏀🔥
Why does it take forever for Quin to sub in Dyson Daniels when we go on losing streaks
That Magic game the other day really stings….! GO HAWKS!!!!!
Ownership only cares about developing the gulch. Quinn only cares about buying Ferragamo belts and designer frames. Trae Young, once again, has a horrible efficiency night.
Thanks Brad. Sorry your mentions probably suck right now….
Still proudly boycotting this team that is "Retooling" with absolutely no picks! They think we're idiots lol join me! Recapture your sanity and integrity from this bum organization. They might have Atlanta written on their chest but mediocrity certainly doesn't represent this city!….Ok im done 🤣
Since Niang is such a defensive liability, is it possible to start him and then bring Mo in with the second unit or else Barlow since by starting him you will be able to cover his defensive shortcomings better?
Had a ml parlay to win 600 and lost one leg because of the damn Hawks😢
Moral victories are nice until you get to crunch time. Now here comes that murderers’ row of games where Atlanta will most likely not be favored in any of their next 5.
Didn't expect Miami to shoot as bad as they did in that recent game, so this result wasn't really that much of a surprise. I find the often reminder of the Hawks being underdogs in recent losses is interesting, rather for context or for whatever. Of the remaining 23 games, I doubt the Hawks will be favored in more than 5 of them. (And that's playing the 76er's three times and even those aren't automatic wins). I know it's not an excuse for losing but I'm trying to see what the benefit is of being reminded of this that's all. Trae's stats: 4-12 FG, 1-6 3pt, 2 rebounds, 8 dimes, 4 T.O. and 17 pts. Hmm yea, I guess he- did his job- considering the Heat always tend to lock him down. Dyson was no doubt played the best overall of anyone on the team last night. Making the play in is great for the players who worked hard despite the hardships they went through and I'm excited for them. But at the same time the NBA of all major sports has made it so easy to have a shot at making the playoffs. I know a lot has to do with making that extra revenue and maybe putting a scare in the upper echelon teams. Here's hoping the Hawks can be that team if they can make it that far.
Was it Capela playing poor defense during the 3rd quarter, not hedging screens enough, not closing out, etc, or was it just bad luck? I thought some of the plays he was involved in where he let a Heat player shoot a 3 was more or less fine because if you contest Ware or Mitchell too strongly, you're liable to give up a rebound to Bam.
I think Hawks fans are now seeing why a guy who is capable of going 7/14 from 3 is making only $8 million a year (and maybe could be overpaid even at that level). The Heat are a dream matchup for Niang because Kyle Anderson is probably one of like 4-5 guys in the league that you can trust him to guard effectively without help, and even so he was still ineffective. I wasn't paying total attention to it, but I'd imagine the reason he was so piss poor on defense tonight was because Quin was for some reason not matching Niang's minutes to Anderson's, and that's just really depressing. I hope going forward Quin can adopt a similar tact with Niang that he does with Mo Gueye. If it's clear he doesn't have it, play him his 14 minutes in the first half and don't go back to him. If he's actually hitting his 3's ride with him for the full 28 minutes.
After watching the last two games (and some random Heat games throughout the season) it's become somewhat apparent to me that the Heat should probably be a fringe play-in team, that's what my eye test suggests their talent level is. They're probably going to end up being a firm 7-8 seed because the referees keep them in every game and they're allowed to play a different sport than most teams in this league. Bam especially.
There was one rep near the start of the game where Risacher caught the ball on the wing and drove left on Bam, and Bam, who was coming in off-balance, was allowed to hand check him the entire drive into the lane before practically pushing him out of bounds along the baseline with his arms extended. That's such a shitty defensive rep, he's basically fouling on purpose to not get blown by for a wide open layup, and the refs don't do shit because the perception is that he's an All-Defense caliber player guarding a rookie, of course he can defend without fouling.
