A player would say that about another player who should be his rival. The NBA is soft. Michael or any man in the 90s or Shaq or Kobe would say. He ain’t it and say prove it on the court 😂😂😂 these grown men get paid and then idk. I would never tell another man who’s not on my team he’s that. Never. These men are robbing us it’s why I don’t watch games unless it’s Luka or ant Edwards. Rest of the league is so soft. My little brother has scholarship offers. I never want him to adopt the mindset of most the players today. I tell him watch bird magic Kobe shaq basically old NBA games. This ain’t it man. This is not it.
What's up suddenly with this media push for Tatum? He's not underrated or overrated. Most people have him as the 5th or 6th best player in the league. He's never been on the Jokic tier, has never been arguably the best player in the league etc. He's really good at many things, just not elite in any aspect. He doesn't have an argument for best scorer, passer, playmaker, defender etc. He doesn't change a team's offense by himself or a team's defense. He's probably the best additive player I have seen in a long time and that leads to winning basketball. But he has by far the most offensive help on his team compared to any other superstar and he's the least efficient scorer of all of them. He has the most spaced out team, that plays 5-out for 48 minutes a game (as long as KP is healthy) and he still scores inefficiently relative to other superstars. His advanced stats, EPM, BPM, VORP. WS/48, LEBRON, RAPTOR etc, have never had him as a true MVP top 3 guy, like Jokic, Luka, Giannis and now Shai have had. Whether it's box score stats, advanced stats or the eye test (film), he's never been the best or arguable best player in the league. It's good that he wants to be that, but he simply isn't. Not hate, just objective analysis.

Has Jayson Tatum had a memorable game or moment during a game where you had to think back to the day and where you were exactly during that moment??? For me, that answer is no, and that is not knocking Tatutm I just think there is more left for him to accomplish.. Continue to win and he his name will be in those all time conversations.. (Curry, Bron, Dame, PG, Kawhi, Giannis, etc… have all had that moment for me, but i can understand the narrative that they are pushing younger stars in front of tatum like SGA and Ant..)

Nobody hates on tatum. Its just that he gets lost in the shuffle amongst other great players. His style of play is not eye catching. There aren't too many tatum games you can point to as memorable. The only games i remember is the 51 point playoff game7 when they blew out the 6ers and 46 point game 6 against bucks without middleton. He is at worst top8 and top 5 at his best. I would only take jokic giannis doncic and wemby over him.

It is very warranted as a celtics fan tatum the most overrated player in the league couldnt beat the pistons without jaylen brown just like he lost 4 1 in the only playoff series he ever played without jaylen brown
I believe Tatum is a top 10 player of the league. His issue is that he's boring. All his interviews are boring. His game can be boring at times. He stands out the most in the playoffs. That's because of how good he is as an all-around player. But other than that, he's boring. He should dunk on people more.

Honestly not a fan of tatum or booker. To each their own. Giannis is the only player I've ever watched in the east besides Iverson. Kl2 for the spurs was my favorite. It's a joker and Luka type league now. Jaylen Brown is more a baller than tatum but the NBA tries to force superstars out of second options.
