The Mavs can’t get out of their own way with the leaks about Luka. We get it, he liked beer and wasn’t going to win any body building competitions. Nobody cares. He’s so talented I wouldn’t care if he was 370 instead of 270 and had a hookah on the bench. You don’t trade that guy at 25, you figure it out.
When it comes down to half court offense when we need a bucket a Kyrie/AD pick and roll /pop play should get the job done every time and depend on Kyrie’s IQ to determine whether to go to the rack or kick it back to AD or lob it if he rolls

All the questions you have for the Mavs were the same questions with Luka. They still were going to bank on Klay, PJ, Caleb, Christie , who would show up to help Luka and Kyrie. Now it's who will show to help Kyrie and AD. This team tho you know you can get enough stops if those guys aren't hitting to still win . With Luka you couldn't get those stops and Im fully with Nico on that.

I believe Klay is correct. We jus don't have all our players on the court right now. We just got flooded with injuries at the same position! If we can hang around, and make the playoffs healthy, we can win the championship.

I fully understand the mentality of our team is hurt wait till we get everyone back but there isnt much time…and injury is something you have to do your best to overcome to be a championship team. The team is still really good and honestly they are playing a lot better hurt than I thought (granted most of it is Kyrie just overperforming what he should have to), when you are this hurt you are ok with getting blown out but it is the close ones that hurt a lot and those they need to start pulling through so they can stay in the playin/offs cause honestly I am getting pretty worried, one good week from the suns and it gets very scary

But you are evaluating team without seeing the team play healthy. Klay isn't claiming this team is championship bound regardless. He is saying that if healthy, this is a championship caliber team. They have scorers too. And why do you guys forget Gafford? He is a beast, and has been every bit of it since being with Mavs.

The only problem why Mavs will never get over this is they have not heard a single reason that makes sense on why they FO did this. We all know this will be a hard adjustment for the team but there has to be a very hard reason why they did this.

It's hard to be positive. This team has too much to overcome. Too much drama, transition and poor health for this team to go anywhere this year. Then you have to re-sign Kyrie, which will be a mountain in and of itself. Then next season's playoffs Kyrie will be 34 and AD 33, both at the end of their prime. And you have to trust Nico to not make any more boneheaded moves. Do you really think this team will do anything? And even if they do, it won't be as much fun because Luka was so easy to to cheer for.

The Mavericks are a championship contender. Oddly, the loss against the Lakers where they barely lost further show that to me, because they were at full strength and the Mavericks weren't.
