There are TWO teams any team should be scared to face in the NBA playoffs: a team with Steph Curry, and a team with "Playoff Jimmy" Butler. Oh, shit, they're on the same team this year, y'all f*cked.

There is actually a pretty easy explanation to Curry's increase in FT attempts. Jimmy piling up the opponent's team fouls, as Curry is usually getting fouled in non-shooting-motion often (super early fouling on shooters/quick cutters).. When you look at him being fouled in the past, opponents saved up some fouls for crunch time and frustrated the hell out of GSW and everyone (fans) watching 😀
This is my issue with GSW media. The moment the warriors show promise, the GSW media floods the internet with too much praise for curry and the warriors. For every game the warriors win, the GSW media erupt with overexcitement. I think other teams and their GM’s from other teams see this because it’s so blatant and obnoxious that eventually the league starts hawking down the warriors, wearing and tearing at them. We need to stop glazing the warriors so much until they get that ring I really want them to win but I feel like all this over exaggerating of their recent wins is going to somehow sabotage that.
Maybe a hot take but I think there's no way they can start Kuminga right now. The small lineup is looking really good against most teams and Post helps when you get into trouble with bigger, more physical teams. We saw that in the 3rd tonight. Adding Kuminga back in the rotation can hopefully give the Big 3 more in-game rest for the playoff run. This is gonna be fun, boys!
Jimmy has always been a swiss army knife since Marquette. He's a bigger D Wade who can be the 2nd star comfortably. And it's been well-known for years that Jimmy is a monster in practice, but I've never heard him say another player makes everyone life easier until tonight with Steph. He's totally bought in and that's all Steph needed for motivation to go on a run. Scary hours ahead for the rest of the West if they stay healthy.
Since the trade, it seems like every game the Warriors go on some crazy run, like 23-2, or 46-20, or some ridiculous $hit! As I watch, I just feel like it's a matter of time before it's going to happen. Anybody thinking this team is not one of the 5 or 6 teams with a real shot of winning, is absolutely kidding themselves. The fact that Post is actually becoming a defensive presence and an inside threat on offense, is something I didn't expect. All of this… and JK still hasn't joined the lineup.
The biggest difference and what I’ve always thought the a warriors needed to open up the floor for Steph was a consistent mid range and or inside the paint scorer. Jimmy is almost scoring or getting fouled if inside the paint. And if he thinks he can draw the defense in, the ball kicks out to a 3pt shooter. That’s all it, rinse and repeat all game long.
Yeah, I watched some Santa Cruz highlights where Post and Knox were having 30 pts. games and was thinking at that time, they should be on the GS Warriors. They were a step above everybody else. And now they are and making big impressions.
I get why hella people was saying the Jimmy trade was “desperate” “don’t move the needle” but most have came out and said they were wrong. It’s great for the league when Curry team are good.
I’ve been so happy since the trade. All my friends were saying he would change nothing when I got all excited about Butler. He’s got that killer mentality win at all costs. That feeds off to the rest of the players.
It’s no wonder the rookies are playing better. We all already knew Curry always had it he just never had any of his foul calls. Now that we have Butler that has changed and also has slowed down the game.
Meaning Curry is able to get more rest. If they aren’t double teaming Curry now they gotta worry about Butler getting to the paint. It’s a no brainer! Butler is exactly what the Warriors have been needing all this time.
Kevin Knox could fill a similar role to Otto Porter Jr. in GSW, as their playing styles share similarities. The Santa Cruz announcers said he played like KD, and I get it because he's a scorer there. But I’ve seen this before, just like GP2, who they also got from the G League. Same with JP3, although they drafted him, he played in Santa Cruz for at least three years. Quentin Post also spent time in Santa Cruz before earning a spot in the rotation. GSW has a track record of developing quality role players from their G League team.
Reserve KNOX for LeBALCO. Big body young hands, block artist versus LeFlop in the playoffs. That will help stop bullyball and create more 'travelling' options for LeBalco
