They made it all about championships which obviously affects the players view on regular season and all star games. Because for years you’ve said only thing that matters is did you win. The Mavs should've sourced a far better trade if they were going to do this. I know they aren't close to the Celtics, but trying to force your chips to the middle on a lousy hand isn't the way.

Let's just look at reality, the Mavs traded for AD who BY FAR is more of a health risk than Luka, and as soon as he got there he suffered a non-contact injury and is out. Luka on the other hand looks to be meshing real well and Lakers have THREE legitimate scorers and passers, and still some younger bigs that will get better in the coming years, even if the Mavs win a chip in the shirt term, if Luka ends up winning 2-5 chips it makes the Mavs look bad, there's no winning this trade unless Luka retires in the next few years and AD has a multi-year stretch of staying healthy, nobody would bet those odds

Ric is always so disingenuous. LeBron has constantly been criticized for everything he does or does not do. Guys like Skip Bayless have made entire careers on publicly hating LeBron.
