  1. Something crazy I just noticed. The two leading scorers, a genetic freak 7 foot guy considered to be the most dominant inside scorer in history and a 6'6" guard in 2025 have the same 2 point FG% of 58% πŸ’€πŸ’€.

  2. Bro, John Stockton played 18 years with the dude who finished 3rd all time in scoring. How are we still having the stat padding conversation?

  3. MJ was given tons of fake stats. The stat keepers were biased af. There's a game vs the Hawks MJ had more steals than there was ATL turnovers

  4. The thing with assists is now for it to be an assist it has to be catch and shoot. Back then it was pass the guy dribbles a bit then shoots it was still an assist.

  5. the reason players minutes were a lot higher back then is because teams played a lot more in the half court, compared to today where the pace is miles ahead of where it was back then

  6. I'm a Bucks fan so I'm biased, but Vin Baker was so dope. Great all round player who got a triple double and multiple all Star appearances despite being on shitty teams most of his career

  7. Those players on those top 20 lists from "95" would all eat crazy in this era especially with the fact there's no hand checking today & with how waaaay less physical the league is today…
Then u go & look at the players on the "2025" list's & u have waaaay less players from each list that could even play back then πŸ’―πŸ€£

  8. So basically 3 pointers have gotten way more popular and modern players are softer and don’t block or play as much πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

  9. The reason why the nba players did not average as much points as today is because it was a lot more aggressive and todays game is so soft it’s not even funny just look at Joel embid

  10. Bro I found a person who said shai averages 20 free throws per gameπŸ’€ he averages 9 and ppl call him a free throw merchant

  11. to be fair about the blocks. If all the 3’s taken today were mainly drives instead we’d have quite a few extra blocks

  12. Id love to see the steals comparison for this. What dyson is doing rn is revolutionary (totally unbiased hawks fan)

  13. So guys played more minutes then, but had less scoring stats. So if blocks and steals are down now, then offense is easier to score.

  14. I think assists being down is more indicative of better team passing vs just one guy who you always ran your offense through I think more guys are better facilitators so you are going to have less high end assists guys idk that it means assists as a whole are down

  15. if you ignore john stockton (it’s widely known that his assists were padded by scorekeepers) assists are up

  16. Cuz so much ball
Movement around league assits goes down cuz eveyone get them not just one player holding ball all game like that . Also most Stockton assits would’ve not counted today game lol with the rules most of them was Micky assits pol

  17. I feel like the loss of blocks in games and shot blocking as a whole is heavily attributed to how much offense has changed. Hard to have shot contests when almost everyone chucks 3s and not playing in the paint

  18. Nobody considered the actual amount of trips up and down the floor. The game was slower, centers were the focal point still. If you do the math to adjust for the trips up and down the floor, shaq probably averages 42 ppg
