Lakers legit have a shot to be a top 2 seed, I think the Lakers are better than the nuggets, and I'm a nuggets fan, but yeah…. Awful trade. I think If Luka came back and continued with the mavs they probably are at least a 7ty seed right now and might finish in the top 5.

Real issue here is gambling. Everyone knows that it's gambling in that the ownership is fighting the Texas governing body to try to have gambling approved in Texas so they cam build a casino in Dallas.
Did Texas governing body has refused to pass gambling so now the ownership has trade everybody away to threaten them with moving the team to Vegas. They're saying if you don't pass gambling we're going to move the team to Vegas.

Luka is getting his feet under him now and he’ll be great for the Lakers. There is absolutely no angle to make this look like a good trade for Dallas. Even in the short term I take the lakers with Luka over Dallas every day of the week. Let’s not forget that Luka makes scrubs look like all-stars… Do-do (who isn’t a scrub btw) now won’t just be a monster on Defense but also a 40pct three point shooter. mind boggling shit this.

The Maverick franchise spent 21 years building the myth of Dirk The Loyal Martyr, they found him his successor, and the new GM-Coach-Owner regime killed and betrayed their baby Jesus in the most disloyal and cowardly way possible. Fans love the game, but they love the storylines more, especially local fans who loves to have their homegrown hero.
If they really didnt believe in Luka, they still could have dealt with it gracefully, by trading him in the summer, after he signed and extension, and with telling him to his face beforehand. They chose not to.
For sure, many dont care about what happening to the mavs right now.. Especially on the international fans, who became mavs fans bcoz of luka..
