BOSTON — The Boston Celtics bounced back after surrendering most of a 20-point first-half lead, securing a 110-103 victory over the Denver Nuggets.

Nikola Jokić finished just shy of a triple-double with 20 points, 14 rebounds, and 9 assists for Denver, but Boston found a way to close out the win.

After the game, Joe Mazzulla spoke about the approach to facing Jokić:
“You don’t really talk about him in the game plan, you talk about all the things you can control.”

    tough game. number 2 in the West, who have really been on fire recently (11 W in 13 games). great to see the bench and stay ready group contribute today.
    ignore the loser takes like "(nearly) lost a 20 point lead," as if the top 5-6 teams in the league haven't all come back from big deficits. the Cs won after a 26-point only 4 weeks ago!

    keeping them off the free throw line worked really, really well. I think that was what won the Celtics the game. 13 to 27 free throw attempts was huge.

    In short interview between quarters reporter spoke with Jaylen Brown where he said "We need to punch them hard in those 'No Jokic minutes' "!!! They talk and they talk a lot!!!

    There's no need to talk about Jokic, just leave the decision making and let the responsibility of taking the shots fall on other guys besides him, and they will crumble. I am a Denver fan, but more importantly a Jokic fan. His supporting cast is so bad, time and time again they have proven that they can't take the responsibility of taking the shots but instead they will either miss it or simply throw a grenade back to Jokic as soon as they see clock running out. They can't hit open shots no matter how many of those Jokic offers them. Pair that with their inability to make a proper defense, and you get a team that is not truly a contender for a title this year. I really hope I am wrong, but I don't think so.
