Rich you gotta watch the latest episode on “Locked on Spurs” this guy who sold it is playing the victim and he’s so sleazy !! All I hear is “money this, money that, money money money”
Interesting what you said that Flag might not join the draft if the wrong team gets the 1st pick… so would it be easier for the Spurs to trade if they do not get the 1st pick?
I could see the Spurs trading their two picks to move up (if there is someone they really like), bring in a couple of vets, and use their 2nd rounder to develop someone.
Just saw wolf on highlights he is more a strech 4 than a center !!! So Maluach or RAYNAUD top 20 scorers top 3 rebounder he s 213cm or 7feet being late first round or early second round we could focus on 6,10 players small forwards !! If lucky lets say bayley and essengue !!!
With our second round pick, we should select Maxime Raynaud from Stanford. He is a french modern big man (defense, rebounds, 3-point shoot). He is averaging 20 points and 11.5 rebounds this year (senior) and will be available for the NBA. He is a very smart guy (very brillant at school) and very well knows Wemby (they already played together).
For our first two picks, this is far too early to discuss who to draft. In general, march madness is changing a lot the mock drafts because it shows who is emerging under the pressure of the competition. For example, Castle was in most of mock drafts out of top10 last year but the NCAA finals show that Castle is a fierce competitor. His rookie year shows that he is managing to transfer it to the NBA.
Btw the top4 picks seem to be already settle (it almost hasn't changed since november) : 1st Flagg – 2nd Harper – 3rd Bailey – 4th Edgecombe. And we could have some luck in the lotery and get a top4 pick (with our pick and the atlanta's one). The right question is : If we get the pick n°2, do we draft Harper (another guard) ? For the picks from 5 to 12, I really have the feeling that it will move a lot before end of april. For example, when you see the last five games of Nolan Traoré with Saint Quentin (between 16 and 22 of EVAL), you could see him coming back in the top10.
If we just have a look to our needs before the next season : 1) Backup C. 2) A 3&D PF (who can start or be backup). 3) A backup 3&D SF. 4) a backup PG. All these needs can be covered through the draft or the free agency.
We should take Queen at nine if it goes down like that then we take a shooter with the Hawks’ pick. If we wanted Kon, we could just sign Luke Kennard who would be ready to produce off the bench immediately. Essengue would be fine but Rasheer Fleming would be better even if his ceiling isn’t as high his floor would allow him to contribute almost immediately off the bench (can shoot the 3 well and could develop into a 3 and D starter.
My problem with these picks is that a lot of the players outside the top 6 are just mid tier. Plus a lot of these Duke players’ stock is being raised by Cooper Flagg being there. The fact that Duke has 3 players going in the lottery is absurd so i would not buy into the hype
I'm not a Spurs fan. But I'm a big draft follower every year. Here are some players I like for the Spurs assuming they stay in the 9-12 range and none of the big names drop.
Kon Knueppel- Really good shooter, good passer… connective passer… he makes the right pass. Pretty good defender too in terms of knowing where he's supposed to be and what his job is. He'll probably be a below average defender in the NBA just because he doesn't have the physical tools. But hell… You got Wemby back there. Great fit pick.
Rasheer Fleming- Another really good fit pick. Really good athlete. NBA body. Prototype 4. Probably the most underrated defender in the class. Good 3 point shooter too.
Derik Queen- He doesn't shoot the three. But he is SOOOOOOOO skilled offensively for his size in every other way. NBA defenses would have nightmares with him and Wemby on the floor together.
Collin Murray-Boyles- The inverse of Queen. He also doesn't shoot. But you put him next to Wemby and NBA offenses would have nightmares trying to figure out how to score.
I have no problem with Kon Knueppel on this team with Essengue. Both have good ceilings and we never know how they will turn out. Essengue is intriguing as he can stretch another 10 inches without jumping. He's Mr. Stretch himself, kind of like Giannis. He can get to the rim fast and he's only 18 yrs old. I would place him as another Shaun Livingston group. If he hits the 3 ball then he will be dangerous. Same as Knueppel. K. K. plays a good game of basketball with high BBIQ. He's also has a midrange and perimeter shot but can get to the basket. I wouldn't be that disappointed if we end up with both.
Hey TSR, love the vids and the live game streams and your community. I respect how you broadcast livegames for us (I like putting it on the side monitor while I watch games) and I respect you saying you aren't aware of the players we are projected to draft in this video. I do however have a suggestion. I know you didn't want to spoil who they were for you before hitting record but I think once you saw our players on the list you should have talked about it briefly and then paused the recording to go watch maybe 10 mins or so of the players and give your brief assessment of them as an addon clip at the end of the video. You needn't write a whole scouting report about them but woulda taken just a bit more time and proven you were looking to improve your knowledge a bit. However thats just a small critique, I'm not upset or disappointed, just thought I'd give my opinion. Keep the content coming!
We need Zvonimir Ivisic aka Big Z from Kentucky guys. Big Z is a 7’3 Croatian Center that could protect the rim and also spread the floor with his 3 point shot. These are quick highlights of Big Z https://youtu.be/Kmu0LHJtd04?si=HjQwGoag9RTOAHLb
I think we draft Derik Queen who I'd be happy with, I haven't been impressed with Noa, I mean maybe he adds depth at the 3 spot? People are sleeping on Johni Broome and I don't get it, player of the year? Johni is Carlos Boozer in a 23 year old body. for the 39th I'd probably take Ryan Kalkbrenner if we still need a big
"They drafted who?" — Watching the movie Hustle on Netflix. It's an Adam Sandler movie and apparently Queen Jamie threw some money toward it to get his name in the credits. But who cares about that. … During the first few minutes Sandler is traveling the world to check out prospects [enter Boban]. When he returns to Philly to discuss the results with the team, there is an argument over a few players. Some stats are thrown out that appear to be very, very close to Wemby. "We've never seen the kid pass the ball." Then they talk about a highlight real, "You mean the one his mom created." — Did Sandler and Jamie just throw Wemby under the bus? Explains a lot about the look that he and Davis gave Wemby when he tried to shake their hands. // Pop totally should have experienced some good bordeaux and put his eyes on Wemby first. Wemby will be out of the league within 5 years.
I don’t know about drafts, but The Sporting News predicts a major trade with the Pels for Zion Williamson, dealing them Chris Paul, KJ, and Jeremy. To me, Zion is too big of a risk because he can’t stay on the floor. Someone like Jaren Jackson Jr. might be worth the trade though.

Gotta scope it out! Just finished it
Essengue is the guy. He's this Draft's version of Risaccher.
The best college center no one is talking about is Danny Wolf, he and Wembey together would be ridiculous.
Liam McNeely is a SHOOTER, a small forward, and currently plays with national championship players. He’s been mentored.
All big Spurs pluses.
He checks every box.

Asa Newell, Derik Queen, Kon Knoeppel, Liam McBeily or make a draft day trade to get to top 3 and get Ace Bailey.
Derik Queen, Kon Knueppel and Liam McNeily are all at reach at where we are at. Or move up and get what we really want.
My only concer on Knueppel is his defense ability to stay on an NBA court. I like the rest of his game.
McNeely is one of my favorites from this draft
Essengue nah for me, knueppel I’d take after 10. Jakaciones or Egor denim at 9 is ideal for our backup pg.
I’m just going to go with the flow at this point what ever happens happens. good video rich 🙏🏽

TRS sports yeah keep us updated on the 2025 draft picks. I look for articles almost every day on who the Spurs will pick.
We should draft the 19 yr old center from Australia first name is Rocco 7'3 has a good frame and game. Check him out
Hifi french good player?

I'm OK if we get him because we need defense on our side Victor can't do it all if he comes back

We are all on the same page. A big heflty 7 footer and pick up Durant this summer. Well, be good.
