IME cannot stop bragging about taking out sengun at the end of games. “It paid off” “right decision” “our defensive line up” “switched things up for versatility” “amen and Tari out there with length”. All good teams have a defensive lineup. The mavericks used theirs a lot especially in the 3rd quarter. Luka was a complete liability. The only reason he stayed un there because he was tossing up 30 footers they were going in
To the toxic ones: Do we watch the same game? Alpy dominated the paint the 3 bigs of Mavs got faul problem because of Alpy and that is why Rockets get so many rebounds. And you can see the diference he made for the team when Ime take him out and put Steven in Mavs close the gap in light speed. Yes he is slowing the game but he also slows the opponent. Rockets played 5 games and he got 4 double doubles. Last year everybody was talking he has to get more rebounds and this year he concenrates over to get more rebounds. I’m sure you all know the game better than Ime so why you are not the coach ha?

probably the best 48 minutes we've seen so far, i people will probably bash that 2nd half a bit, but were talking about klay, luka and kyrie (i know klay didn't shoot well) they are gonna hit some tough shots and get hot, thats why they are some of the best or very successful players but we were able to keep up with the scoring against guys like that, which tells me a lot, this "bad half performance" was a huge step above the other "bad half"s we have had and it was against a team that just went to the finals and seem have to gotten better. great win
Genuine question: Can someone please explain what’s Ime’s primary offensive strategies if there are any? All I see a ISO ball, Sengun pick and rolls with Fred or sometimes Jalen. Im not an expert in basketball but I feel like they dont have enough offensive sets, like no one is properly cutting when sengun has the ball. I remember Kenyon Martin Jr was getting his bread out of this during Silas era.
basically Udoka made Alpi classic center he focused more on defensive side than offensive, I dont like how he plays this way. I would like to see him on more jokic gameplay its coach decision anyway but Alpi doing great on new role I believe especially on this match he did pretty well
If Alpi had played in Dallas instead of Houston, you would have had a triple double every game, your assists are going to waste in the Houston game.

Alp will learn where his game fits. He hasnt learned to jokic and Dirk correctly yet. Once he figures out his fadeaway J, his 3 gets more consistent, and he plays for positioning since hes not bigger than most centers when rebounding he will absolutely be much better. He just doesnt have his fadeaway IQ yet. Right now he either spin drives or backs down and throws up a tough hook, or he passes. Once he figures out when to dream shake, up and under, and fadeaway counters hes gonna be all star every year. Hes always gonna be a liablilty on rebounds because hes not athletic. Hes like dirk and jokic. He can be effective but his vertical, height, and wingspan are not rebounding capable. Hes gonna have to get excellent at positioning and anticipating when a shot is going up and whether its long or short and whether its a 3, 2, or layup. This will put him in the best position to out rebound bigger longer and stronger bigs. Alp is 6 10 with thick sochasand no hops. He has some width but not adams l, valenciunas, or jokic width. His lower body is larger but his upper body is smaller. This makes for possible great offense but horrible defense and rebounding. So Alp will be good hes fine. He just needs more experience. He hasnt figured out what he needs to work out and really get a bag. The tangibles are there for him be a monster post up player. He just only knows 1 or 2 post up moves right now. Watch when he figures out the 4 others with counters. Hes gonna ve fun to watch.
