On a hot tip from Jokic, they find some behemoth 6'11"rebounder who owns a gym, currently playing in Uzbekistan, comes in to pull down 14rebounds a game. Jon Scheyer comes in behind scenes as secret guest assistant coach after winning NCAA championship and helps with 2 other Duke recruits. Team goes 59-23. Takes OKC in 6, Cavs in 7, finally the chip.
Hasn’t this movie played before. Zion balls out and ingratiate himself to the fans that they forget he’s barely available to play. He’ll probably get hurt again and this cycle will continue

Since we kept Z I’m ok in ok with getting him the best center for him, Turner. UNFORTUNATELY we have CJ and Olynyk contracts. CJ the contract that keeps on hindering! Last year free agent OKCs center Harteinstein and this year Turner we can’t sign. If we can get him it going to be a sign and trade that’s probably will cost us Herb,Missi and Hawkins. Plus a #1.

This was a semi-close game in the third quarter. 11 point lead. Then Brown subbed in and wrecked everything for a long sequence.
This is the kind of game that Pelicans learned something, not by beating a G league team like Utah. What works in the game against Utah has no bearing when Pelicans play a true NBA team like Lakers. Pelicans cannot even tank right is the reason why the team has been so bad… sad.
Why wasn’t Bruce Brown bought out? Even if it was for full amount that spot should belong to a G League guy. Maybe we find something. Why is CJ and Olynyk playing.
BTW, does “learning things” depend on WHO is doing the evaluating? Griffin and Green?
