The latest blow to Mavericks fans was Kyrie Irving’s torn ACL. Dallas is probably a cursed franchise for the next 10+ years but do they have the worst future in the NBA?

    Casey knows 0 thing about NBA basketball or any sport here. My coworker tore his ACL and it took 1 month to him to be able to work on remotely as a software engineer lol.

    What about Dallas trading Davis for KD and a wing for John Collins and wait on Kyrie to come back next year. Or Davis to Utah for Markkanen, Kessler then make a move with 1 of the centers to upgrade as well. Davis just ain't that guy and are better without him so move him while he has value.

    Owners want to alienate Dallas fanbase to move team to Vegas. Also "Owners" have lastname Adelson family. Patrick Dumont married into the family.

    Poor Ky! He has been super likeable during his tenure with the Mavs and was a successful stint too. Oh well! At least Mavericks still has that one legit superstar that can carry a weaker team to the WCF, and is almost always the best player on the floor every game they play! Right?

    Where did u get the chart about players missing games with injuries, cause arguably Knicks have been one of the healthiest teams, unless its just counting Mitchel Robinson, also somehow the pelicans aren’t higher, yah chart seems to be from last season

    I disagree with all of this. The Adelson family or however you spell it are trying to alienate dallas fan OBVIOUSLY. They KNEW that trade would make the team worse, they KNEW it would make mav's fans all the way up in canada (me) really angry, and they knew the team would tank. Nevermind that AD played well in that one quarter, this is even more good news for them. The less hope there is, the less they will fight to keep their team. If the league doesnt put a stop to this, I DONT CARE wht TV contract they get, or gambling, i dont care of any of this stuff. What true fans of a sport want in fairness. They dont want this turning into a spectacle like the WWE. We're talking about bad ratings now? Wait until the lakers win the title with luka, people will call it illegitimate. I mean this was the worst time for anything like this to happen when the league was being criticized. Vegas got a hockey team in the last few years who won the NHL championship Stanley Cup in their first year as a team, made a big splash and they are clearly trying to get to a point where they say "well we said we wouldnt move the team, but look at how empty the seats are getting, and look how much dallas fans hate their team despite our best efforts to improve it. The ONLY WAY TO BEAT THESE MOTHERFUCKERS IS FOR DALLAS TO WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP THIS YEAR!!! It's the opposite of what this psycho family wants.

    If we see a team get gutted like that, fuck the fans, and move… what do you think other small market teams will think? This is destroying INTEGRITY! A that is CRUCIAL that people feel like they are watching real competition. At least the WWE admits its entertainment. Being lied to and pretend this league is "FAIR" when its not is the problem.

    I live in Canada, and most of my friends are hockey fans. I WISH you could see their faces when i explain that in the NBA the refs give different calls to superstars than to every other player. Or numerous other little things like that like freethrow disparities. the NHL has A LOT of integrity. The refs are professionals and each player is just a number as it should be. People HATE flopping. That's why i grew up hating soccer, because flopping is a move they teach. I dont know if they teach how to flop in the NBA, but the incentive to encourage players to flop is there, and certainly there are some that do it better and more convincingly than others, and we know they are doing it. You would be penalized if you pretended to be hurt in the NHL AS IT SHOULD BE. It's quite simple actually, make a set of rules, and apply indiscriminately. What's so hard about that? This whole start get different calls thing, THAT's complicated, and alienating, especially to NEW fans. i think us NBA fans are too close to see this with perspective. But I hated it knowing what the NHL was like. I like Basketball better as a sport but man things like this make me wonder if another league of 5 on 5 should exist and usurp the players from the NBA. It's pathetic watching layer complain to the refs for every call, watching them fall down because somebody lightly tapped them. Ugh.

    This trade doesnt add up because clearly we dont know the full story, but i think our guesses are close. It's about money, and fans are gonna hate it, and because this went through, its going to set a precedent. INTEGRITY. THATS WHAT FANS WANT!

    MY question is why move the MAVs to LAS VEGAS? Why not wait for a team that naturally has low support from their fans….wouldn't have a "what if" future as a result and not make so much noise? That's the only question I have. Why fuck a popular market, with a great team who made the finals, and a player that could have pssibly stayed with them his whole career if they played this right. They might have robbed them from a handful of championships in the future. A rising tide raises all boats? Well i assume the opposite is true too: this affect how people view the NBA in general. If they moved one of the less popular teams who already have empty seats? Then they could have possibly come to the same result without making hundreds of thousands if not millions of fans miserable.
