  1. What Bontemps is saying about tearing it down in Dallas, while extreme, he isn't wrong. They won't do it, but without Kyrie, an AD-led Dallas team won't go anywhere.

  2. Someone should look into the Dallas training staff. I wouldn't be surprised if this year they have a bunch of scrubs.

It's too much of a confluence of events
… trading for injury prone, already injured players, compromising the roster so Kyrie is the only ball handler and has to play heavy minutes, reinjuries to players coming back.

    These are some calculated machinations.

  3. This is so crazy to say but this is a realistic scenario if AD is available this offseason and it would be absolutely hilarious. And of course this is also if the Lakers don’t go on a deep playoff run and wanna make a change to their roster. If they win the whole thing obviously this isn’t even a discussion. What if AD got traded back to the Lakers? Reaves, Hachimura, Gabe Vincent, Kleber makes the salary match AD. Gabe and Kleber expiring contracts after next season. And Reaves and Hachimura very good pieces for you and Reaves has all star potential next season. Also I think they can give the Mavs 3 firsts that they’ll have available in 2026,2028,2030. I know it sounds crazy but that’s honestly not that a bad haul to get back if you’re the Mavs šŸ˜‚ but no way it happens because it would make that Luka trade even crazier than what it already has become…

  4. Dallas owner bet Luka in a poker game and lost. Can we please address the elephant in the room.

  5. Kyrie averaged 14 points in the finals and got rewarded with leading the franchise. I love Kyrie but what team has he led to a deep play off run?

  6. The Mavericks are so cursed right now that even Quentin Grimes is going off in Philly while Caleb Martin sits in a suit

  7. Will never watch another NBA game. Dallas ownership/mgmt ruined my loyalty, my interest, my confidence. I’m done.

  8. Oh so are we finally done with the fake intellectual smart guy take saying Mavs actually won the trade in the short term and the Lakers are worse off for this season

  9. I’m a bit confused, Wind Horst was arguing on this podcast last week that it was no big deal that AD got hurt and it was a total fluke, now he’s arguing that’s it’s the most unpopular trade in NBA history? Why would it be so unpopular, Windy?

  10. Bontemps is correct on the overview of Dallas front office. Not saying it’s a easy pivot but relying on an often injured AD & an older recovering from an Aflac Irving is shaky ground. Niko said him & J Kidd wouldn’t be around in 10 years šŸ˜‚ they might might not last the next 3-4 yrs. SMH. The basketball gods has gave their judgment

  11. Trading a 26 year old superstar for a 31 year old star player with an extensive injury history, rushing that player back to where he’s hurt within minutes of touching the floor and having a 32 year old pg play the most minutes in the nba over the past 2 months is malpractice and the owners should be forced to sell the team.

  12. When Windhorst was coming up, he had a nice post game and was known for aggressively attacking the basket. He was often compared to Bonzi Wells.

  13. Honestly this move was to keep the lakers high after lebron cuz they had nothing after he leaves. Completely destroyed a franchise to do it. Haven’t watched a single game since and could care less. Its so bad it even ruined my hopes for the upcoming nfl season. Just the thought of corruption there is in sports. Its all rigged.

  14. McMahon is not very talented or insightful on really anything and says a lot of things that make no sense. Talked way too much for so little talent considering he is with the 2 best NBA guys in the business.

  15. ā€œMental health work?ā€ Kyrie didn’t do and didn’t need any mental health work lmao he literally never did anything wrong!

  16. Was not more than a month.. was exactly a month.. Luka traded the night of Feb 1, Kyrie tears his acl the night of March 3; February only has 28 days. February 1 to March 3 is 30 days. Not even 31 days. It was really a month, not more than. February itself isn’t a real full month. Also just another part of why we really have 13 months worth of weeks (52) in a year, and not 12 months worth (48).

  17. 4:10 it wasn’t really Kings center J.V., it was freakin Derozan who freakin whacked Kyrie across the face and arm that caused him to come down messed up on J.V. foot after the knee to knee bump with J.V.’s knee – but if it wasn’t for Derozan coming in & doing that, Kyrie maybe/probably is able to come out from the J.V. contact ok

  18. 19:54 no, Tim, all of them, not some.. ā€˜mean things said’ is the least of what Mavs ownership & FO & the league commissioner deserve .. and even the Lakers owner Buss & Pelinka, for going along with the blatant conspiracy if not being apart of originally plotting it with Adelson, Silver, Dumont, Nico (paid off ā€˜fall’ guy?) and maybe even Cuban (and that’s why he got out before he’d be the villain in Dallas) .. and eventually Kidd – which Luka def scorned Kidd in the Mavs Luka Lakers matchup- Kidd was the only coach Luka didn’t embrace after the game – Kidd knew but was it really ā€˜11th hour’ (which then say no & try to block it.. tf?) or was it even sooner or even him apart of it to begin with? (Less likely the latter obviously) ..

  19. Mavs Announcement:

Kyrie can’t handle his body well which cause him to injure himself. This kind of unprofessional is not what our Organisation wanted. He need to be gone

  20. They should just move the team. They've already destroyed the fanbase. I wouldn't trust this organization to do anything sensible. And as a free agent, who would even want to come play for this organization?

  21. I think it'd be great if Mavs season ticket holders cancel en masse, and if sponsors abandon the team. The Adelsons are exceptionally evil billionaires and deserve nothing but misery until, at least, they fire idiot boy Nico.
