That's the problem with these old cats. they all want to put the superstar in the mold of jordan or some ex superstar. tatum is everything that we want in the NBA in my opinion. The way the Celtics move the ball is amazing, and it all centers around tatum's humility and intelligence to play the game the right way. They were trying to make that annoying guy up in Minnesota be the next Michael because he has that dog in him. I am a laker fan, but I am telling you, the Celtics are the only team that scares me. jason does not have that killer I am going to take over instinct that jordan had, but I don't think that is needed the way the game is played today. like almost everyone can shoot 3's now, or at least short corner three's. and the Celtics get great looks because of their spacing. They have great leader who makes every player on that team feel empowered.
but ultimately we will see if celtics repeat.

Not a big Tatum fan, but imo, he's probably the best American player right now, unless if you're still stuck on LeBron & KD being at the top. It kind of just shows how weak American players are at the moment though, because as mentioned, Tatum isn't on the level of Jokic, Giannis, etc. LeBron still has an argument in the best American player too though, he's having a good year & the Lakers are currently 2nd seed. While KD is struggling to get the Suns into the Play-In, even with a good Coach.

The Celtics is built like they was in the 80s when they was winning championships. Bird was the star but he had guys like Mcchale, Parish, ainge, DJ….and so on. If Bird would have missed some games they would have kept winning. Your argument doesn't work here Colin….ijs
